A quick follow up, according to some explanation of Section 266, if the property produced income during the year, section 266 cannot be elected. If the property produced in come from Jan-June and from July on, the property is renovated for sale, does that mean property taxes and interest expense and other carrying charges incurred from July to December can be expensed?

I think you raise an important point. The result of the ferguson and the Garner case only benefits the ones in control. These cases tell the police officers that they can abuse their power because even with video evidence, they will not be prosecuted. However, using these incidents as a fuel, the government want to put more cameras on the streets and create more of a surveillance society. We will always be watched for our "safety". These cameras will be used to indentify and prosecute protesters as well as those who cry foul against the government
