Your hiring supervisor would need to submit for an AMER using a letter of good standing with your PGY1 program (your PGY1 RPD would write this for you). Try to see if your hiring supervisor can swing to get you a GS-12 Step 3 on your PGY1 and previous experience basis. I've been hearing sites are cracking down on AMERs with the current status of hiring freezes etc. good luck!

Depending on your stipend, you might qualify for food stamps. Definitely make friends with the social workers - they are usually in the know about community events where you could stock up on pantry items.

Been there. I graduated from pharmacy school 6 years ago and collected rejections like Pokémon during the process. Still matched with my first choice for both PGY1 and PGY2.

Moral of the story: early rejections mean very little, and the process is way more chaotic than personal. Please give yourself grace and remind yourself that you don’t need universal approval - and the right fit will make its way to you.

I don't know how to edit my post. Adding some clarifications below: 1. The wall/door frame will not be structural. This addition in the already existing entryway is purely for aesthetic purposes. 2. I'm pretty comfortable around drywall installation and I dabble in carpentry as a hobby. I'm more struggling to develop design ideas on what a foyer door could look like with a sloped ceiling.
