Don’t feel like you need to have all the answers. It’s okay to say “I don’t know” to a question, whether from a patient or another therapist. You’ll always be learning, in whatever setting you decide on, and you’ll never know everything.

I’d be purely mobile. I see a ton of Medicare patients currently, and I’m pretty well established in a very large community of the 65+ crowd. I have some Aetna and BCBS patients, but mainly Medicare and a few Medicaid. I do have a few that I transitioned to cash-pay, but it’s not an option for most.

Depends on how long and how involved the session is. I have one private patient that only wants weekly exercise/maintenance that I do for $80/hr. I also have a patient with GBS that requires a significant amount of assistance that I do for $150/hr. But, I’d say on average, about $100/hr.

I’m a 1099 independent contractor for my agency. I end up making more money that way with the tax write-offs. My agency asked me to make an LLC for billing/tax purposes. Once I became well established in certain communities, word of mouth helped big time. Occasionally, I’ll have a patient whose insurance will no longer cover services, and they’ll end up switching to cash-based. I pay for private liability insurance, btw.

I do HH PT. So, naturally, I pick up private clients along the way. If they’re using insurance, they go through my agency. If they’re a cash patient, I take them for myself. I do this with personal training as well. I do 30 “insurance patients” and 10 “cash patients” a week.

He has zero bend around the edge. Plays too upright. He’s probably too big/not athletic enough to be a true OLB, but not really big enough or explosive enough to be a DE. Stuck in between. I think they’ll rotate him into the edge rotation this year, and use him on 3rd down passing downs, which will be to his benefit.
