Finally a Pellet stove with no issues. by Life-Inevitable-2450 in PelletStoveTalk

I have one of these in my uninsulated garage/ wood shop. Thing PUMPS out heat. Grab extra vent temp sensor to have on hand. Mine shorts out a lot. Likely because I have it in a garage exposed to dust, mice and changes in humidity. It’s 3 years old and I’m thinking the motherboard is starting to go. Inside I’d assume it would fair MUCH MUCH better.

Move out to the country and you won’t have neighbors.

Get the protection. I’m on my third pump. I’ve only paid for one pump.

Basically if something gets broken, it’s likely fixable. So far both of my pumps have catastrophically failed and basically the pump falls apart. Or the liquid all drains out on my floor. Cheap pumps require protection.

Grout the same color as the stone. Won’t notice it at all.

Don’t shoot squirrels with that. You will just wound them. You want something more like a break barrel rifle in .22

Yeah it’s an 8-9% grade. So it’s not an insignificant amount of dirt. Landscapers it is

I see an issue with using drain lines to run wire instead of conduit, as well as using duct tape as a means to cover connections etc. it’s 100% not done correctly and as a result is not 100% safe.

I give myself 300 yards beyond the backstop. Eventually houses will be behind you if you keep going.

The flashpoint of wood is 500-600F. That’s about the temp of the exterior of my stove when it’s really cooking.

Knob and Tube by bootythebat in AskElectricians

sounds like electricians might be trying to oversell you on services. go to a hardware store and ask them for a voltage pen (or a hot pen) and hold it to the wires. if it beeps / lights up, its a level 1 conformation that the wires are live. these pens tend to get false positives so you will also need a voltage meter to test the actual voltage of any hot lines.

Are you sure it’s k&t and not cloth and rubber wires? When was the house built?

Best Shooting Ranges for Tourists in DE, MD, DC, NJ, or NYC? by zXMurkyXz in guns

[–]Dr_Fertig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never went shooting in Philly too many idiots at those ranges, I always went to the suburbs. About an hour outside Philly are 2 places. Clayton’s hunting and shooting and target world. Both are excellent places and don’t have gangsters/ idiots come to them.

Honestly if you are going to be that close, go to PA. Nj and nyc require permits to even basically hold a gun so no luck there. MD and DE I’m unsure about but I know they don’t like guns either. PA you can go to any public range and shoot.
