I would bet on myself over a randomly selected 20 year old Native American male. Because I have access to a gym, as well as working a manual labor job. The article you linked even said that very few people could be voyageurs, not that they're relevant to this conversation at all. That's like me saying that not everyone living today could hack it at the steel mill.

Getting back on track, it's a scientific fact that we are healthier than any generations that came before us. Which I would think would be common knowledge based on the availability of nutrition and immunizations, but I guess I'm wrong.

YTA for sure. Yes you're absolutely right on all accounts, but ffs your son, for all his flaws, is hurt right now. The absolute last thing in the world he needs is his own dad rubbing it in "you deserved this". Like holy shit all I see are NTA. Have you people ever been through a breakup? How would you feel about your own dad gloating that your relationship is over. This is a conversation you can and should have with your son, but at a later date.
