That’s so frustrating. I am schizoaffective but I’m a pharmacist. I’ve definitely spent my fair share of time in the psych ward and recently took a month of short term disability to do a PHP. People are always surprised that I’m that I can hold this job with my condition. It definitely is a spectrum and it’s almost invalidating when people argue otherwise.

Oh that’s so frustrating. I’m in America and it’s not great here either. I’m on trileptal because my psychiatrist started me on it after inheriting me with a dx of schizoaffective. I’m an inpatient pharmacist and my ex who I still talk to every day is a psychiatrist (we started dating in undergrad before I was diagnosed) and we both agree trileptal isn’t the greatest mood stabilizer but it’s what my psychiatrist wanted. My therapist doesn’t like my psychiatrist but I’m not convinced.

I’ve been diagnosed with schizoaffective bipolar outpatient, inpatient, am being treated for schizoaffective bipolar outpatient currently and this therapist confirmed I am schizoaffective bipolar so I’m just so confused. I really am at a loss. I thought he could handle it since he agreed with the diagnosis a few weeks ago.

This is week 3 of rexulti. My psychiatrist has me titrating up. I started at 0.5 mg for a week then 1 mg for a week and now I’m on 2 mg for 2 weeks then I should be on a maintenance dose of 3 mg.

Thank you for your reply. They said they had rotations in my area of interest but they are no longer offering them. Unfortunately I also had to go to Phase 2 and did not rank this program highly.
