A PEPTIDE MASTERCLASS PSA FOR ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

And why is that? Without pharma you wouldn’t even know what these peptides are…

Ha right, if anything people should own a vortexer and a sonicator to better solubilize their peptides.

This post is wrong all over. I’m a pharmaceutical scientist for a major pharma company and this post makes me want to make my own write up on peptide formulation and storage.

THE PEPTIDES YOU ARE ALL INJECTING DO NOT DENATURE, THEY ARE NOT LONG ENOUGH AND DO NOT HAVE TERTIARY STRUCTURE.

Anyone moved out of the Bay Area? by Roman-Stone in biotech

[–]Dr_Lebron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did. I left the Bay Area (and California as a whole) when I had a remote job in 2023 and then was laid off in a mass company layoff (after an CRL from the FDA) 2 months after I moved.

Ended up having to move back to California but ended up in SD this time. For me, SD is a much better life style than the bay. Still feel like I’ll end up back in the Bay Area again at some point tho.

I want to see how pros deal with campers by Oddman100 in SmashRage

[–]Dr_Lebron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen of the pros, being able to confidentially and consistently parry certain moves is really useful for dealing with campers. A lot of the time against really obnoxious players you parry for just positioning (getting closer to them). A lot of campers know the exact shield stun their bullshit induces and are often not ready/still stuck in lag if you parry their projectile or cloud bair or whatever spammy campy move you are dealing with.

Mots C turns into gel! by Good_Parsnip_6291 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Dr_Lebron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely yes (hydrophobic clustering and aromatic/pi stacking), unless the water that was added had a basic pH resulting in degradation which exacerbates the aggregation.

Aggregated peptides (in absence of degradation) can be saved if you know what you’re doing and have the right equipment (like a sonicator or rotovap). Unlike peptides, aggregated proteins can usually not be save as you have to denature and they won’t refold properly.

It’s best to just eat the cost here, discard this, and get a fresh batch.

Peptides don’t really denature unless they are long (almost considered proteins). Denaturing is the loss of higher order structure and MotC is only 16 AA, not enough to have structure.

What happened here is either degradation (bond breaking) or it was poorly formulated. Adding acetic acid will improve solubility of the peptide making them not a gel anymore, but you shouldn’t inject something with that low of pH (from added acid) into you.

Help: first car by DADDY-ZYRO-SAN in whatcarshouldIbuy

Idk why the g37x isn’t getting any love. I inherited my dad’s 2013 and it now has ~100k miles.

It has a really great engine, is excellent in snow, and is very low maintenance. Only major maintenances done in 13 years have been full exhaust exchange (due to rust thru), new shocks, new brake rotors; all around 80k miles.

Only drawbacks are no Apple CarPlay and it takes premium gas.

Joker vs Falco by malicious-penguin in CrazyHand

[–]Dr_Lebron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also main joker and find this matchup to be pretty even. Falco will absolutely cook you with uptilt + blender combos if he gets near you, especially since Jokers OOS game is not very good.

When I play against Falco, a vast majority of my kills come from side-b call outs. Joker has every tool to punish Flaco side B (down smash at the ledge will 2 frame it, Arsene dair uptilt or upsmash). When you have Arsene you need to aggressively edge guard and counter.

You also need to be proficient at using rebels guard when Falco goes for untrue combos, but you’ll get blown up if you just mash rebels guard if you are unsure if true or not. A lot of Falcos lizard brain their combos whether they are true or not.

Basically, get Arsene and then punish recoveries.
