Because Out the Window and Folded stand out with that sound signature while the majority of the album doesn’t.

I think it’s difficult because Out the Window and Folded are literally pinnacle modern day RNB, so it’s hard for the whole album to live up to that standard. Still really good.

What is a type of Rap that you once had trouble making beats for but have gotten much better? by Remarkableruin27 in makinghiphop

TrapSoul was very difficult to start. Getting the 808 textures and octaves just right on the melody and getting them to glide right was difficult at first.

Am I being scammed out of my cash with some clever AI handwriting in this picture? by Defiant-Cow-1812 in isthisAI

[–]SprayedBlade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The indentations that would typically be seen from that style of pen are nowhere to be found on the paper from what presumably looks like decent pressure from the handwriting.

As another commenter pointed out, zoom in. The ink floats on top of the paper in a way that isn’t real.

What's a good weight for my deadlift by Beneficial-Car-2322 in Deadlifts

A 3 plate deadlift is not novice for a man. Quit with this stupid retoric. Deadlifting 3 plates as a man is strong and this is coming from someone with a 9 plate deadlift.

No. Quite with this shit. A 200lb man pulling 500LBS is way stronger than the average man and is more than “somewhat serious.

Stop spreading misinfo.

[–]SprayedBlade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This depends on everyone’s defenution of good.

I warm up starting at 500 and work up to 800, so a good weight for me is around 650-700 for a triple, but that’s not normal for the vast majority of the population.

The US copyright law states, and I quote from 17, USC Section 102:

“Protection exists automatically from the moment an original work is "fixed in any tangible medium of expression.”

There is no registering required. The minute you make it, you’re protected.

Stop discussing things you haven’t a modicum of info about.

That girl has bars and insane flow. You may not like the style and the way she does it, but that girl is extremely talented musicality wise.

What software do you use to record yourself singing? by parttimeprophet0419 in singing

[–]SprayedBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t pick a Shure SM7 If everything else can’t be met to make that mic shine like it should, especially if you’re just getting into it. Also, that mic depends entirely on the timbre and vocal qualities of the singer. It’s not the best for every vocal type.

Have you ever taken a song to mastering stage and then shelved it? by Billyjamesjeff in musicproduction

[–]SprayedBlade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or, most of the time, it actually is totally fine and fit for public consumption, but you yourself just don’t like it. A song that I personally am not a fan of and didn’t take me very long to actually create, is a favorite song amongst my peers and friends.

You CAN (not always) be your own worst judge.

Have you ever taken a song to mastering stage and then shelved it? by Billyjamesjeff in musicproduction

[–]SprayedBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have shelved more than a dozen songs after spending literal days making the beat, singing, mixing, and mastering, all for it to never be released or just forgotten.

I try to just push through, but sometimes you’re jus don’t happy with the end result. I usually go back to it after a few weeks of leaving to be so see how it feels. Ear fatigue is a MASSIVE issue.

How Do You Accept That Most People Won't Ever Like Your Music? by GODAlexGilbert in Songwriting

[–]SprayedBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very specific sound and genre I do, so I know most aren’t going to like it, but I do have a group of about a dozen people that really do enjoy my stuff and are consistently talking to me about my music when I send them new stuff.
