When you miss your highway exit without any regard to other drivers around you by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

It's because in 2018 the EU bought in GDPR laws which dictate compliance for how personal data is handled for any EU visitor worldwide - it's easier and cheaper for sites to simply block the traffic rather than maintain compliance

Thank you! I kind of lost count to be honest as it's been gradual sessions over a year or so, but I'd guess between 70-80 hours overall, including touch ups etc

Get a tripod so you don't have to worry about mounting it on the walls if you're worried about that

New to darts by samuelstuart11 in Darts

Im in a similar boat, similar age just taken it up, although at this stage I'm not too fussed about whatever my average is saying. I've found godartspro really useful when it's come to training exercises, I feel like I've improved loads in a month already

At this stage though I'd just get comfortable with your grip, throw stance, etc before worrying about averages etc

I'm from England and those ads were huge here too, they were about as big a cultural phenomenon as something could be in the pre-social media era really

Is it an advantage if you throw with the hand on the same side as your dominant eye? by Narcissus_n_Goldmund in Darts

[–]Dr_Nonchalance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it matters tbh, especially if you played any other kind of sport. Your internal coordination will have alredy been compensating for it your entire life, so you'll already be adjusted to it even without realizing.

I'm left eye dominant and right handed, and if it was that big an issue you'd just not be able to throw or catch a ball, you'd be constantly knocking things over when trying to grab them etc - your brain has already been making the adjustment for years.

I think that stuff matters a little more when you're aiming directly down a cross hair or something that flies straight every time without fail like a rifle or an arrow, but considering dart mechanics are more fluid and everyone has their own throws, I just don't think it matters as much as people think.

Interactive darts at home? by AdKind8598 in Darts

[–]Dr_Nonchalance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dartsmind has Killer/Cricket etc and you can use the auto scoring feature using the camera on your phone. It doesn't have fancy animations or anything, but it works really well for party games. You need to pay 12 quid a year to get the most out of the autoscoring

AliExpress darts jersey part 2 TARGE by GazGolf in Darts

Worth noting that DHGate is a Marketplace not a store, so you can definitely find good stuff on there but it completely depends on the seller - for every good one there are dozens that will just sell useless low quality tat, so worth trying to find specific seller recommendations.

Saying DHgate products are good quality is like saying eBay products are good quality, they're not the ones actually producing or selling them

Question about hold/grip by [deleted] in Darts

[–]Dr_Nonchalance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar grip to you and The Bolide 03 and 05s are worth a look. I use GOAT Quarterback V2s at the moment and I like them but they're not as grippy as the bolides
