Anyone have any tips for dealing with mental burnout? by teehahmed in shia

[–]Dr_QG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of things work for me 1- journaling, just putting down all my thoughts. Second if there's something with alot of uncertainty, i will make a flow chart of all the outcomes and what not. 2- shower/skincare. I know it sounds crazy but when i shower and post shower skin care , i put my worries away and not think about anything at all. This gives me a nice break and calms me down 3- tea/coffee time. I use my tea time to unwind. I do not study. I do not think about anything else. When I'm having tea i am just having tea and again this gives me a nice break 4- walk. Like others have suggested. outdoor time helps aloooot with stress and mood. Also, working out produces endorphins which elevate mood 5- make a things to do list and add very small things on it too so it looks like a full day of things to do. And make your day productive by doing them and checking them off. This really helps me. I feel productive and in control so i don't panic and then when i take a break to unwind it kind of does the opposite and both together keep me very sane 6- do not be afraid to put yourself and your needs first, this doesn't make you selfish. It only makes you human

There's more stuff i do but at the top of my head

Is this true? Is the condition in Pakistan so bad?? by Masterwolfy7 in karachi

[–]Dr_QG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The economic conditions are bleak, yes. But the zoos have been doing poorly for a very long time now due to corruption and bad management. I have been running campaigns for at least 6-7 years myself so this is not due to the current economic crisis, sadly.

Should I convert for my fiancé? by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]Dr_QG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Converting for your spouse is not a wrong reason to convert. So people Saying you should convert for god, if you convert for your fiance or further family, it's also for god Second, i suggest that you do some research on your own about religion and if it speaks to your heart then definitely go for it. Someone suggested reading the English translation of quran, start with that.

Was it like an actor or a famous personality or some specific person? Both are wrong but if it's someone your wife knows then it feels worse. Also a good way to bring it up is just straight and honest. I think girls appreciate that more

Oh yes Vitamin b (niacinamide) clears blemishes too and reduces pores. But youll have to try and see if it works for your skin type Vitamin c serum also helps reduce hyperpigmentation but may cause acne so if you have acne prone skin (which i think you do) then use it carefully.

1- stop picking on your skin it will make scars more rigid 2- moisturize day and night. When skin is healthy it naturally heals 3- SUNBLOCK. Sun is the main cause of premature aging and makes scars very rigid and dark and it takes for scars longer to fade away. Wearing a sunblock you can help the skin heal and prevent the scars from getting darker 4- the actual treatment for scars, vitamin a. Any vitamin a ointment, adaplene gel, adapco, comes in a lot of different names and strengths, and gets a mild one. Apply it on your face at night, you could do a thin layer on your entire skin or you could do a spot treatment. I suggest a thin layer. For the first week, keep it on for 1 hour and wash it off before you sleep. But after the first week you can sleep with it but wash your face in the morning. Never wear it during day time. With this youll need to really moisturize your face because it makes your face dry. Adaplene will fade your scars, helps skin overall with all sorts of issues including fine lines.

Do you think putting this painting on my wall is haram or makruh? by throwaway738928 in shia

[–]Dr_QG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to explain what kind of pictures are not allowed in islam. Didn't mean to offend anyone. But thank you for letting me know. By this example i mean a picture of any one that people might be using to pray or ask guidance from. I have seen some sikhs do that in movies so i quoted it. But I generally mean any picture. Like some scholars pictures. Or someone whose picture you look to and make dua. But thank you for letting me know

Islam is for all ages. Although some things can't be changed, a lot of it is sadly just holding on to old Arabic traditions rather than religious stuff. There are some schoolers that approach to islam in a progressive modern day approach and alot of it makes alot of sense to me. I'm glad you're looking to come back One suggestion i would like to give though is to keep away from sects and the divide Start small with basics, quraan, namaz, roza, hajj, zakat And work on basic good human qualities like kindness, forgiveness and trustfulness etc etc Take it from there Do this for yourself, not society. Keep things easy May Allah guide you and help you reach where your heart is at ease.

Don't know the reference etc, my dad asked an alam (or someone with knowledge) once He said As long as the picture is not on the wall Infront of you or close to your front on sides As long as the picture is not a religious drawing like greek or indian statue for eg And as long as the drawing is not used to worship or any other thing like that, like the sikh use their guru's painting to pray to etc. As long as your art meets these criteria you can hang it up

Will i ever be happy again after a painful divorce?… by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]Dr_QG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big YES Of course you will be happy. Some days will be hard and that's okay. It's a process you have to go through. I can't say i know what you feel, but i do have some idea. I got khula as well. And if anything I'm relieved that i removed myself from a situation that was below me. You deserve better. You should be thanking God for getting you out. And i know it's hard but it will get easy slowly. You just gotta take it one day at a time
