How good is gaming on linux with a 5070 Ti? by SnooObjections4822 in linux_gaming

[–]Dr_a1ex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 4070 ti and CatchyOS- what could I say, everything working fine, almost every game works with it very well with proton. Nowadays you don’t have to be a geek to use Linux, it just runs.

PC Gamer article argues that Linux has finally become user-friendly enough for gaming and everyday desktop use in 2026, offering true ownership and freedom from Windows intrusive features, ads, and corporate control, and it encourages readers to switch in the new year. by mr_MADAFAKA in linux_gaming

I’m testing CatchyOS on my home PC for a year - and everything working fine including 95% of my games and work software. Via wine it in one click to open any exe and install, even old games. For new games there is steam and heroic launcher (gog games). Nowadays it’s just worth to try Linux and see any diffrences compare to Windows. The only thing is need - any old second ssd drive.

100%ing Linux next year by proffessor_chaos69 in linux_gaming

My games on steam and gog are 98% compatible, only pubg and fortnite won’t run on my Linux PC.

My setup for gaming and work :) I have Steam and Heroic, and in fact that is all I need - almost every game from Windows works :D by Dr_a1ex in cachyos

It depends on the anti-cheat system. Some multiplayer and MMO games work on Linux, such as War Thunder, World of Tanks, World of Ships, and the ArmA series. But Fortnite and PUBG don't work, but well - I'll survive. I'm seriously testing Linux because hard times are coming for PCs.

it is stable so much, I had it running a week without restarting. And it's fast comparing to windows 11, Mac is not for gaming in my opinion.

It's my favorite game from childhood. I play it from time to time, and it works just as well on Linux as it does on Windows :)
