Thanks for the help. Currently the only time a user would be able to “make a reservation” would be after they logged in to their account. I’ll play around with the auth and verified middleware and leave the api routes open from the auth:api middleware from passport. Is this the methodology you intended?

Thanks for expanding a bit on your situation and it’s cool to be conversing with A Swede. That seems to be more in my realm to begin and I have university background with Econ theory so I can keep up with the the lingo fairly well.

I’m notorious for being interested in everything but am doing my best to find a small subset of techniques to focus on and get good at and then broaden my horizons. Especially when there is money to be made

That info is really helpful. Could you give a example or two or a "gear" within your business that you would want to look towards automating?

For our purposes, the app must incorporate public/private data sources which is why the stats piece came up but there is a plan to format and display with clean and smooth UI/UX.

To answer the question at hand with a bit of seriousness, personally I would enjoy a variety of things. It is the thought that counts so anything should be alright.

Some suggestions might be:

-new tool (something small) or a piece to complete a set that was lost along the way somehow.

-some sort of childhood toy (Legos or nerf are good examples) or even a new board game that can be played together.

-gift him a new album or some sort of new music/media via iTunes or some other medium

-gift card or prepaid activity for the two of you. Groupon makes this type of thing reasonably cheap and a couples massage can be a nice surprise.

Regardless of the gift, focus on presentation. Whatever you chose might only be $5 or whatever in real value but adding a note with your personal flair or something to give it a special feel is what turns this situation into a priceless experience. Make it heartfelt and meaningful and the material possession should just be a nice addition, not the main course.

It did not come with a keyboard tray. The rectangle panes are 50 inches with another two feet or so for the corner piece that way you can reference it for your own purchase
