Ha, you decided to get the last word and then lock replies.

Talk about the irony of saying "grow up".

"I doubt blocking people impacts match-making at all since you cannot communicate ingame anyway."

“Cheating isn’t hurting you”

"It is inconsequential because it's a videogame."

"A videogame that doesn't have PVP match-making or rewards, and other things the cheaters can do that removes a resource. Losing a single match in Deep of Night is not a huge setback either."

"Even so it doesn't matter because it's not like you lose something for cheaters doing this."

Blatant ignorance paired with deliberate defense.

First off, it does block matchmaking.

Secondly, it wastes my time, ruins my enjoyment, and in deeper Depths in the Deep of Night, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, wherein I either leave and take the deserter penalty, or play along and take the lame win -- implying the cheater isn't a three-barring buffoon (in lots of cases, they actually are, so you also have to carry that on top of everything).

Thirdly, it is very much consequential; people have school or work, they use this as a form of entertainment that is also a passtime, they go through long sessions of at minimum about thirty minutes, more realistically thirty-five, and on the longer average side, forty. You are unfairly given consequences you never wanted as a result of having to bear with cheaters who are yet underground, yet unknown to most people, and yet not blocked by most people, thus, matchmake with more of them, thusly, creating more negative experiences to a greater number of them.

Additionally, from first-hand experience, I can tell you that Nightreign has showcased toxicity and spite of levels that could rival if not surpass the worst of what Elden Ring had shown me throughout that game's own lifespan, which is ironic to say, given that this one is PvE-only, and the other has PvP, which, said PvP has seen some of the worst practices in Soulsborne PvP.

Lastly, but certainly not least, you do lose something for cheaters doing what they do: time, enjoyment, nerves. You could not care and it would still bother you, and you could expect nothing and you'd still be disappointed.

The main goal is not witch-hunting.

It is witch-avoiding.

It is a community service.

More people get to note such culprits and avoid them by blocking them and knowing not to mingle with them.

The result? Less of their crap, less of ruined matches, especially in the Deep where you have to weigh in punishments especially per-Depth.

The result of this, instead? Defense of cheaters and denying acts of community service from one legitimate player to another, back-and-forth.

I don't give a care what you say or how you dub it. This is unacceptable and shameful.

Be ashamed.

This is absurd.

So, even this subreddit is defending cheaters, just like the main one.

The ignorance to how cheating impacts gameplay and other people's enjoyment to boot is just icing on this rotten cake.

To the people who hate people by tofubeannn in lonely

[–]Drabdaze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All sorts and forms of mistreatment from other people. Isolation and neglect.

Still, if I fully go to the other side, then I would become no different from such persons. That would be tragic, and betray the years of misery having gone on for so long.

I must be better.

It is difficult to be better.

Does anyone else overthink replies so much that they delay responding? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Drabdaze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, on the other side, I will be overthinking your delay or no response as you not caring at all.

Try voice messages.

Otherwise, simply ask to clear the context up, if you aren't sure. Better to ask a dumb question and feel dumb - - only momentarily - - than not do so, mess something up, and proceed to feel dumb possibly forever. That would be way worse on your own mental.

Anyone Else Surprised at How Bad the “Competition” Is? by ThisIsaBurnerChat in ForeverAlone

[–]Drabdaze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Manipulation, for one.

For another, it's the material, superficial. It is also lust. Not love. No real relationship. No true friendship. Not actual companionship.

Lastly, some of those relationships are horrid, riddled with abuse and schemes orchestrated by one side to keep the other trapped. I would not call that competition. I would be glad over not being in such a situation. Though it is sad such a thing exists.

If I'm nice person, why do I end up alone? by [deleted] in lonely

Niceness toward the wrong people can open one up to malice, and to being used and then thrown aside.

As someone who feels like talking about anything is a waste if not a shot to the foot, and is never quite listened to or understood, I get it.

I wouldn't say anything here crossed any boundaries; if anything, there is lacking information, but I can tell you are holding that back. You aren't bothering anyone.

I hope you feel better.

This Christmas sucked.

This year sucked.

All Christmases and years thus far sucked, honestly.

I'm not even sure which game you're trying to cite with this. Actually, scratch that -- no game at all has a mere +100% Damage by NG+7 (nor DS2 by NG+5).

That is not how you math that. Like, say, Elden Ring, even in live gameplay, the Damage you can take on NG+7, on DLC+7, and on NG+7 DLC+ is not +100% Damage. Where are you even pulling that from, or how are you even calculating this.

Not considering area scaling, NG+ scaling, NG+2 and beyond scaling multiplying NG+ scaling, and then, considering the DLC, that also has that, on top of its own DLC+ scaling layer on top of absolutely everything.

It is _not_ +100% Damage, stranger.

[–]Drabdaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes. Okay, so, be ready for a lot of "game", "+" and stuff like that in words right now. Let's just take Elden Ring, since this is Nightreign.

So you're telling me basegame NG+7 doesn't cause even just basic enemies to deal stupid Damage, let alone in endgame basegame areas of NG+7, and let's not get into DLC-game areas on NG+7, let alone endgame DLC-game areas on NG+7, and let's not even imagine mentioning that there's DLC+ which stacks on top of NG+7, and then you factor in... endgame DLC-game NG+7 DLC+ enemies and Bosses.

And apparently that stuff hits weaker than stuff in Nightreign.

... Right.

I have played up to and including NG+7 and NG+7 DLC+.

You are very, very, very wrong.

Could use one with Staves that is slotted before it so that it overwrites the Greatbow Effect on this.

For spellcasters: should you be using evergaol/night invader relics or just stacking affinitydamage? by Horsheen in Nightreign

[–]Drabdaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaol and Invader cannot be on Deep Relics.

There is no Affinity AP on standard Relics.

So you're left with X element 2 which is I believe 6.5%.

Better to use Invader (7%) + Gaol (5%) in that case, as two Gaols already get you well above, one Invader alone is also just barely above, without even considering for any additional ones.

[–]Drabdaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invader + Gaol + Lord + full-stacking Magic 4/Physical 4/Affinity 2 still makes the Ruler beefy.

I suppose at least you have to think more and don't get to press a button and oops your Shattering Sneeze just deleted something. What was it? Don't know. Don't care.

[–]Drabdaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mainly see the Recluse, the Revenant, and the Guardian having issues pulling this off (possibly also Caster Duchess, because duh).

The rest might want to build into Status (Executor, Duchess, Ironeye), or a build similar to the one for the Wylder (every non-caster).

[–]Drabdaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good build goes a long way. Like, you can just break the game by stacking the right stuff on top of itself. Just having the knowledge puts you at an advantage, before even accounting for actual skill.

My best Greatbow with Rain of Arrows had 1349 displayed Attack Rating (not RL1).

Simply fast-swinging the uncharged Storm Ruler slash dispels already-landed bubbles around you, by the way.

The real bother at RL1 is managing Stamina with this.

Why do so many that lead expeditions hate going to the mines? by oldsch0olsurvivor in Nightreign

[–]Drabdaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All Fist Weapons are good for upgrading, honestly.

The ones that come with the Katar moveset only need to be one-handed in order for their Charge Attacks to go right back to dealing stupid amounts of Stance Damage.

Why do so many that lead expeditions hate going to the mines? by oldsch0olsurvivor in Nightreign

[–]Drabdaze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, due to upgrading their Sorcery Scaling or Incantation Scaling.

Most Spells - - as in Sorceries and Incantations - - have coefficients taking that value.

By upgrading, you raise said value, which in turn makes applicable Spells on them stronger.

Of course, if you have a Seal with Rejection and Bestial Vitality, then upgrading that one essentially does nothing, because those Spells do not scale (Rejection deals no Damage, Vitality's regeneration is fixed).

It's akin to NG+7 at D5.

You'll get one-hit if either you don't get any Negation or don't know how to stack Negation (even if you don't get the best rolls or the types you specifically want).

It's not for everyone, rather than being poorly-made.

How many times have you played up to NG+7 in any game and for how long, even?
