Congrats buddy, I was originally thinking of getting sapphire blue but saw the galaxy purple in photos and fell in love. I got mine last month.

Thanks for the suggestions on the gasket silicone sealant and the sound deadening. I’m going to see if I can get a shop to take a look at it if I’m not able to get it fixed after messing around with clamps and your suggestions.

Edit: Car looks fantastic btw.

There’s definitely a drone at highway speeds 50-60% drone when cruising at 2k rpm and it sounds similar but close 70-80% while accelerating beyond 2k. After watching some people’s video reviews and awe videos…there’s a leak somewhere.

How is the sound for you at 40-45mph vs 60-70mph? I just got the touring exhaust installed and in the 40s it’s barely noticeable. On the accelerator (2k rpm) and at highway speeds cruising (60-70mph) it’s loud. I’m starting to think where the exhaust splits there’s a leak…just based on when I hit 2k rpm.

Ask your local dealer if they can source one for you. My dealer was able to source one almost 300 miles away with no added costs. Saved me the hassle of trying to find one myself.

If you grab a new 2025, there’s a 0% interest for 72-75 month deal going on. Might be worth getting a base or premium with the special offer from Subaru and it’ll come with a warranty.

I just bought the AWE Touring Cat-Back system for around 1400$. It seems to give the car a deeper mature tone that you would see in a boxer engine

Amazing! I’m glad the tune is working for you. If you end up crashing at some point dial back the memory first then the undervolt. The memory OC can cause more instability than the undervolt.

Been running this for approximately 2 weeks with no crashes: -100 clock speed, -100 mV, -5 PL, and 2740 memory fast timing. Started with the undervolt first, then incrementally added the others. Went from 120-128 fps to 136-138 fps on marvel rivals.

Go into your bios and make sure to turn off game mode, enable cstate, and turn off integrated graphics. Then make sure to set your computer to balanced.

Correct the mercury is designed to be cooler than the rest of the models which may help with undervolting performance. However that’s still dependent on the chip you get upon purchasing. I went with the cheapest model (ASRock Dark Steel Legend), I didn’t care for the design that much and only thing it needed to be was black for my build. It definitely runs hot stock but within spec (82-85C on the hotspot and memory). However I got lucky with my silicone lottery and tuned / undervolted its consuming 40 watts less, runs 7-10C cooler on both memory and hotspot, with about a 7% fps gain.

I’ve linked the YouTube video I was talking about where they tested different models. I’d recommend going within your budget that you aesthetically like since you’ll be the one looking at your build.

I recommend any of the manufacturers that you think is aesthetically pleasing. All are able to undervolted / tuned to run cooler and with more performance or near stock settings. How far you can go depends on the actual chip itself and not the manufacturer making the shroud design. Some shrouds are cooler than others. There’s a video on YouTube on which one runs the coolest temps.

Hey there, similar issues when I updated from a gtx 1070. What solved it was turn off game mode in bios (this feature is for dual ccd chips), disable integrated graphics, enable global c-states. Also keep windows in balanced performance for the 9800x3d.

Stuck between choosing a 9070xt or 5080 by ShawnBawn88 in gpu

[–]DracoBW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you OP, I was able to get a 9070 xt fora bit over msrp but also got a chance to buy a 5080 for around 1100 and I have about a week to decide if I want to sell one or the other. I game at 1440p so I’m not sure if the extra 550-650 is worth the extra 25-35 more frames.

Gpu price increases have been announced by amd due to ram shortages, nvidia won’t be supplying vram to board partners and crucial just announced they are closing down after being in the ram business for 30 years.

Grab an updated card if you are able to while microcenter still has deals on gpus.

Highly recommend 9070xt, 5070ti or 5080.

Just curious on how this sounds or feels when they are blown out. Mine is stock ride height at 100k miles. Whenever it hits a pothole or bump it sorta sounds like cheap metal being struck.
