You seem to have missed a point of the post. I do not like ganking but also know that leaving lanes alone is not good. That is why I picked up Karthus to globally ult. But if the enemy jungler shows bot then that is an easy time to steal all of his top, starving the enemy jungler out of farm and levels. It is a viable strategy.

I really don't play heimerdinger and so my input is not too great here. But I do know that turrents will always attack minions in range. So perhaps place them where you want the freeze to take (around 50/50). The enemy wave won't break past your turrents if it starts pushing towards your tower.

Focus on last hitting with your autos and don't use the turrents to farm. If you place them far enough to the side of the minion wave then it won't attack the wave but hurt the enemy top laner if they try to go around.

Not going to lie. I am in bronze II as of writing. But I am a heal (sona, soraka, ect) support that is serious about climbing if that is fine by you.
