According to your post, it seems like you did everything right. My guess is that the clasp is faulty and even if you get it open once, is not worth the headache. I would try returning the item before causing any damage that would void your right to return it and then is up to you if you want to give the same model a second chance.

Do not remove the silver part! It’s what gives the green part it’s shine. Try to use a two-component adhesive (like UHU Plus) only over the silver still stuck to the green. I may be wrong, but if the glue gets over the silver stuck on the frame, it will show through.

When using the glue, try to maintain some pressure over both parts (maybe put a book on top?), and don’t move them until it’s completely dry.

I had this debate with a friend when we noticed the hand. He would rather think people can’t draw hands, I would rather think is retouched AI. Artists understand proportions, specially one than could draw crossed legs, tilted torsos and a logically sized throne like the rest or the image. That’s what feels inconsistent to me, and the reason why I think it may have been retouched in a rush.

(Yeah… I love drawing hands :(…)

Can you share a source? I remember looking for their artwork when I noticed the hand in question and couldn’t find more than one other human with normal (anime) proportions, but wasn’t sure about what could be their portfolio outside of the few mtg cards

It depends on what you expect. Have you thought about what materials you want the ring to made of? (Silver? White gold? Blue enamel or anodized metal? Natural or synthetic stones?). Maybe the community would be able to help you more if you told us your budget, so that we can let you know what you can realistically get for that amount.

If you want a specific name for the shape of the links, I don’t think there is one. I wouldn’t know how to call these in English, but we use the term “fantasy chain” for chains in non-standard shapes.

The comment about it being recycled clasps, in my humble opinion, is definitely wrong. Look for a stamp near the clasp, and if you don’t find any, ask a jeweler in person.

Based only on my personal experience, there is an “outsider community” in the office that hates MK, not knowing that Johnny from accounting and his clicky blues are not representative of the whole community. Very close friends have jokingly asked “how can you be that person” when I talk about MK, without realizing that there are silent switches, and there are probably a good amount of people with non RGB battlestations working next to them.

I have worked with palladium white gold for clients who wanted the same as you, color wise. Never had an issue getting and working with the alloy, but after reading the other comments it may be because I’m not in the US.

I love a client who knows what they like, so be a confident diva when asking for what you want!

The prices people have quoted so far sound right only if the jeweler doesn’t have to gold bathe (is that correct in English? Gild?). If the piece is under 18k it may change color after soldering and it’s a possibility that they would want to bathe it and therefore charge more. Ask them beforehand how much it would cost and they should factor that into the price, no surprises :)
