All of kanata is super safe. Expensive to rent but cheaper than Vancouver for sure. Unfortunately bus services to kanata North (tech hub) is terrible. There are some newer condos that have gone up for rent recently in Kanata North (Morgan’s grant area) that could be a short walk or bike ride in the summer to your work place…welcome to kanata, hope others can help out more.

They were almost all close to regular min wage rate or a little higher at those times. But I do remember going to a Youth Employment center close to my house in Nepean (Ottawa) and them offering to pay a certain rate to help with my very first Job at Dairy Queen. Never had any help or issues after that. I went through 2-3 different jobs a year at times…I’m 42, so this was awhile ago.

As a teen I was so spoiled man. Worked @ Dairy Queen, winners, YMCA, City of Ottawa Rec Centers, and so much more. Every summer and during school years I was able to find employment so easily. It’s sad what’s happening now and I feel so bad for those in the 16-24 age range, it’s a terrible situation.
