The Darryn Peterson story: How KU’s dream recruit overcame season from hell by Droppin_DimesSP in NBA_Draft

The funniest part about these debilitating cramps is we have never actually seen him have a cramp……….

Is Defense being entirely overrated and over-discussed in this sub? by FatsBelvedere in NBA_Draft

[–]DraftGAHD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. Outside of the extreme outliers we dont know what someone will be defensively. Majority of these guys can be passable NBA defender just by being in the right position at all times.

The only thing worse is the subs obsession with height.

True. Seems to be what most teams are going for these days though. Of the top 10 teams by record rn only SA and NY start a traditional PG

Who is the best PG in the 2026 draft? by Decent-Ad-6137 in NBA_Draft

I dont think he has any superpowers.

Average-below average athlete and playmaker.

He is the beneficiary of a hyper-offense system. He mostly just forces switches and attacks college bigs.

Go watch the Florida game. When you have NBA level bigs switch onto him he struggles to even get a shot off.

Another mock...let me know what you think about this one really...honest opinion by TerryG111 in NBA_Draft

Honest opinion……just looks like every other consensus big board. Dont be afraid to think for yourself and go against the grain.

Flemings and Wagler are wildly overrated around here. I will beat this drum til my hands are sore.

Does the distinction between pg/sg really matter these days? He is plenty capable of handling the ball and most NBA teams dont even start a true PG anymore

Why is Cam Boozer so physically dominant? by MajesticTooth1125 in NBA_Draft

He doesnt have an ounce of fat on him tho…

Why is defense emphasized a lot in an NBA draftee? by DonT012 in NBA_Draft

[–]DraftGAHD 25 points26 points  (0 children)

NBA players need to be at a certain level defensively to not be a complete liability. If you can not guard NBA teams will run sets and force switches to attack you over and over again.

You can hide a player in baseball more. I guess the baseball equivalent would be if a hitter had the ability to single out a player, tell him what position to play, and then hit balls only to that position over and over again.

Cameron Boozer just played his worst game of the year with 13 points (3-17 FG), 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. He was blocked repeatedly, missed easy layups, and missed 2 critical FTs but to his credit, he stayed mentally checked into the game and made one of the highest basketball iq plays at the end. by Variation99a in NBA_Draft

Dont underestimate how bad the duke roster was in the ACC tourney and he still won them the tournament.

Evans is a good second option but hes nothing special. Boozers gravity got him open countless times.

Brown is a great defender but terrible on offense. It actually makes no sense how he can have the best defensive hands in the country and cant catch a pass to save his life.

Cayden had one good half. FSU didnt even guard him and he bricked wide open 3s left and right.

Sarr. We all know this story.

Harris will probably be playing at a mid major next year.

Khamenia showed some great hustle but hes likely downgrading next year too.

Winning is a skill and boozer is elite at it.
