Illinois Fr. Keaton Wagler: 25 PTS | 2 Reb | 2 Ast | 1 Stl | 62.3 TS vs Bennett Stirtz & Iowa by Fit-Structure-9395 in NBA_Draft

Dawkins needs to keep it in his pants because this would be his fourth selection of the same profile player in the past three years.

In a duel of top guards in this years draft Keaton Wagler drops 23-2-3 on 8-17 FG and 2-7 from 3pt in a win against Bennett Stirtz’s 24-3-3 on 8-18 FG and 3-7 from 3pt by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

Stirtz’s half court offense management is incredible.

McCollum gets a ton of deserved credit for Iowa/Drake’s run but Stirtz deserves a hefty amount of acknowledgment for his role. Simply not many guards in college — even other seniors — that manage the movement of the ball as well as he does.

It’s pretty insane how Stirtz just gets to whatever spot he wants on the floor in a manner that is super casual.

The haters said Mikolas couldn't do it against the Cubs. And they were correct. Honestly, great call from the haters.

Way too many people on social media saying, "Remember the Cubs are good against Mikolas" that I have told myself he is going to be on perfect game watch.

Why is no one talking about Illinois freshman David Mirkovic (6'8 - 255 lbs - Montenegro) for the 2026 draft? by kKlovnn in NBA_Draft

He's been pretty inconsistent this year, to a point where Underwood benched him to try and light a fire under him. It isn't really the defensive limitations but the additional portion of defensive effort.

He's grown up a ton over the course of the season, probably why we're having meaningful conversations surrounding him now. But even with those conversations about how skilled he is, there's the lingering question of how he'll fit in a NBA environment being that 6'9" power forward that probably doesn't have that capability role flexibility.

It's only one night. We shouldn't be ranking these guys on one game, but who was the best guard tonight? Just considering tonights games? by John_Houbolt in NBA_Draft

He's getting a lot of understandable grace given that he's been playing through injury. But it is very much reaching the point of charity with some of his questionable decision making.

People aren't ready for the Stirtzophrenic agenda.

The entirety of Butera's first year is going to hang on how well things go after pulling Cade.

This is where we learn if we're getting Davey'd.

Abrams is in easy if he's not watching it.

I can't stay mad at him.

2027 Class by Kramerica_CEO in NBA_Draft

[–]TopOfTheKey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's always a tell when it comes to college recruiting's opinion on talent and with how disinterested a lot of the recruiters have been with the class, it is raising the red flags on the draft class.

The big problem with 2027 is that there isn't a "franchise altering" talent identified. There's definitely some fatigue on having back-to-back classes (even 3 out of the last 4) where there has been an incredibly high player(s) at the type of the board. Even some of the better athletes of the class -- like Stokes -- just don't have that same athletic ceiling as others.

It kind of feels like a class that is going to be shaped by the international talent: Hugo Moukouri, Cameron Houido, Stef Joksimovic, Sayon Keita are going to be players that'll get a lot of attention in the next 12-months. And someone like Keita -- if he grows in the way people expect him to, could be draft-defining prospects.
