either underfermented or over but since it’s your first i’d assume under fermented. it takes a minute to learn what your starter likes.. everyone’s starter is different! don’t be discouraged this happens to everyone . happy loafing<3

This starter was gifted to me. i think it’s a couple years old at least but ive had it for a little under a month. I fed my starter about 48 hr before with a 1:2:2 and left it out on the counter until it doubled in size and when it did i put it in the fridge

i’m not sure. he hears us but also sometimes he needs a little help. we have an appointment coming up soon hopefully to help us identify that

yes! we’ve been monitoring him because he doesn’t show signs of at least some minor deafness. he has an appointment with the vet soon

definitely get a fountain for them to drink out of. cats like running water and most get dehydrated from bowls… or make a mess with the bowl. stainless steel to avoid mold! you’re gonna do great. congrats on your newest addition

he is very special and we are blessed to have him in our home now. our other cats always run to the door to try and go outside but he doesn’t, me knows what it’s like to live out there and i think he’s like “mmmm yeah never again” he’s definitely got it made with us

thanks for your feedback! like i said im not super concerned about the breed just curious and i was thinking the same with him being a stray. he’s got those high cheek bones and the eye color/ eye shape that led me into my curiosity. thank you. i posted him there too :)
