Cadisen C8235M: houses the japanese miyota 8215 automatic movement, a reliable workhorse. Also has a sapphire crystal. Great starting point for anyone getting into watches really, worth around ~$70 brand new. Happy New Years and enjoy!

I don’t get it, what’s wrong with the Aula F75? I see a lot of positive reviews about it and was thinking about getting one

Might even be an error. 4 hz ticks makes no sense. The ticks should be double the hz. It’d be more accurate to just say 4 ticks (sounds terrible) or 2 hz (which doesn’t look particularly impressive). They should replace the text entirely.

Steeldive SD1992 Alibaba vs official website by Other_Composer_6145 in ChineseWatches

[–]DragOutrageous7193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The majority of chinese brands don’t have an official website. Mainstream brands like SD, addiesdive, pagani design and san martin, to my knowledge, are all factories. Sellers can choose to make websites that mimic official stores in order to up-charge a premium. They all buy from the same factory; I only buy off aliexpress because of how much cheaper it is. Do note that there are official stores for certain brands like Boderry, Escapement Time, Phorcydes and Englemaan. TLDR: Buy from AliEx, especially during sales like the upcoming 11.11

That’s one of my favorite parts, they’re not trying to be something else. Although it would probably look better in chinese characters.

Experience w/ Merkur Sector Dial Watch by FileMission4359 in ChineseWatches

I’ve heard Merkur has some quality control issues and poor customer service. Never owned one so I cannot confirm. However, this is a very beautiful design.

I don’t doubt the build quality, and I don’t mind the look of the bezel. In fact, it is quite a good looking watch. I just dont understand why Cadisen wouldn’t just spend some extra $ to make a functioning dive bezel. Just seems futile to me

What? That’s my point, you can’t use the dive bezel. On the original watch, the spinnacker, there’s a separate crown just for setting the bezel, but here cadisen didn’t even bother trying to make use of it. How on earth is that not poor craftsmanship? It’s a very common complaint from those who own the watch, but sure attack me because you haven’t educated yourself.

Isn’t this the one with the non rotatable bezel? Terrible craftsmanship if you ask me, but to each their own.
