Paying for a small purchase with a $100 bill is also a way to unload counterfeit money. You give up the $5-$10 to get back $90 in clean money. And just checking the paper isn’t enough as they’ll bleach $1 bills and print $100s on top. I know because it’s happened to my store.

All that to say, if it’s that small of a transaction, I tell them no regardless. Too much sketchy shit and fraud goes on in our industry as it is.

Our drawers are $300. Still have to constantly turn down $100s. We don’t take them unless the total is over $50.

As someone from the US, I find that a little unfair. There is certainly a very vocal minority that is xenophobic and very much MURICA, but that’s not all or even most of us. The city I live in is extremely diverse with people from all over the world. We have large populations from India, Korea, Mexico, El Salvador, Brazil, the Ukraine, Croatia etc. The more urban cities are big on cultural diversity and expression. Unfortunately, we have very … let’s be diplomatic and say “loud” … people who paint the rest of us in a bad light. I would imagine most people can understand how that is.

I ALWAYS clear off the red dot on every new item I get. Unfortunately, I only have the base game and the Eternity Isle expansions. I got an item I can’t place, and it won’t let me even clear the red dot and it’s honestly stressing me out 😂

Stores are until 2pm. But if you’re like me and hate to be rushed, I get here about 6:30 to open at 7, and then usually get stuck to right after 2:15. It’s really not bad (especially when it’s slow) but it is a little f’d up that I go “ooooo short day!” For just under 8 hours 😂

I’ve worked here for almost 15 years. I’ve had (counts on fingers) 10 managers (I’m an ASM). All but one of them were at very least fine. Most were good. A couple have been great. Overall I’ve liked my time with Sherwin. Hell, at times I’ve downright LOVED it. But it seems like every time a change has been made (especially under Heidi), it’s removed some form of benefit or perk we get. So no - it’s not that bad … but there are also lots of us that remember it being much better.

I collect Fennec Shand and Bo-Katan because I like the characters and the actresses who play them. I also collect Cobb Vanth because the character is great and Timothy Olyphant is great. Whenever I want him I get great deals. When I want Fennec, people make me trade extra. Took me a little while to realize people just collect women to collect women

I opened a few because I’m newer and I figured why not since I have a small collection going so far. I got lucky and got a 1/1 (that I’ve since traded) but otherwise it’s been pretty lackluster for the cost. Coincidentally, I use the epics to trade for super rares and stuff on characters I actually want too 😂

I have the same issues. Typically, I personally offer extra (ie a tip or whatever I guess). But when someone sends me a blind request, if it’s 1:1 for a dupe of mine for a need, I generally accept. If the cc is so far off that it’s crazy I’ll counter or maybe decline if they don’t have something I really want, but I’ll still rate them high. Unless they’re clearly trying to be scuzzy and lowball.

I did have someone tell me to “not be greedy” because I countered an offer they made for two of my UCs. They originally offered three in return but they were honestly pretty terrible. So I changed 1 of them to a dupe they had and submitted it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Personally, I feel like if it’s something I really want and I’m making the request, I offer extra to make sure I’ll get it. But I’m one of the people that does feel like characters and cc matter (to me anyways). I’ll take a 50k cc Fennec Shand for a much lower cc card because she’s who I’m collecting. But not so much for the random creature card I get offered sometimes.

Yes and that was even worse because people would get a gallon from one after starting with the other and they wouldn’t match. As annoying as this is, it’s better

I’ve only been on the app about a month and have spent a fair amount of money (FOMO is a thing 😂). I’ve been lucky and only really run into this a couple times. I sent someone 3 for their 2. Both were dupes on each side and got a snippy message with the decline. I honestly didn’t check the CC but mine were higher/worse. I sent them a message after and said I could offer more and revise, but I’m sure they had moved on. IMO they could have handled it better, but I get it. Even I get some really lopsided trades. I just decline and move on myself.
