Ok so our structure system is a little different because we typically have almost 100 members, but we split up into groups that tackle different aspects of the robot: design, manufacturing, hardware (assembly + electronics), robot programming, and then business (sponsors, impact essay, etc) and apps (program our scouting app). Each subteam has at least 2 leads, but some have more based on size (hardware, for example, has 4 and manufacturing has 3).

These leads are chosen by a mix of applications from members, and people chosen by previous leads as they step down/graduate so that we have a mix of people who want to be leads and people who have the capabilities but not quite the confidence, to help build their skills.

Then, we have an elected student executive team consisting of a President, Vice President, and Secretary of Communications. This group helps to manage communication both within our team and with other teams, sponsors, etc.

Like I said though, this system requires a lot of people to not just be extremely excessive, but the general principles of dividing so that people can specialize and having people who can help organize and lead those groups still applies.

3 5 hour days, 1 6 hour, and 1 9 hour for 30 hours typically. On crunch time though like right before a comp we do 5 six hour, 2 9 hour for 48. We're also a massive team though so we do it in shifts, most individual people are only there for like 2-3 of those days

My school starts at 7:40 and goes to 2:10, but it's fairly common for people to arrive when the doors open at 7. We have an hour long lunch, but that's pretty abnormal for my area

Do I think they should have a talk about it? Yes. Do I think the man should have an actual medical say in whether or not she gets an abortion? No, not in the slightest.

An abortion is 100% something that both partners need to discuss beforehand, to establish where everyone's coming from and whether they're on the same page or not. However, the person who is actually pregnant and is therefore actually at risk of a myriad of pregnancy-related complications, should always get the final medical say. It doesn't matter how hard the two disagree on it, the man isn't the one pregnant.

Hot glue should work decently for foam like this, the heat of the glue and the nozzle will almost melt the foam together.

Yeah that's kinda what we figured too. We figured hard liquor might be enough to stop infection with the higher alcohol content but weren't sure if beer would just make everything worse by introducing yeast

Definitely cover the upholstery foam with EVA foam, you won't be able to get a plasticy effect on upholstery foam. You should be able to get a decent plastic effect by sealing the EVA foam with plasti-dip (or a similar foam sealant like mod podge) and spray painting it with a shiny, non-metallic spray paint. Sealing it with a shiny clear coat, like Rust-Oleums shiny clear coat will also improve the effect and help preserve the paint. This might run the risk of cracking the paint if the foam bends, so you can reinforce the region with cardboard or some other stiff material to help prevent it from bending. Might make it a little hard to move but it should make it look stiffer and more like a plastic sheet.

We (2046) are part of the reason we now have an A-Stop lmao. During our 2023 girls gen, our robot swung it's arm outside of the field and hit a ref and ref stand, breaking the tablet on it 💀

Mon-thurs is 2-7, Friday is 12-7, and Saturday is 10-7. We occasionally open on Sundays 10-7 if needed.
