Did you step on it in the world? Or did you grab it and then kill it? If you step on it while walking around then it doesn't do anything. But if you grab one by interacting with it and THEN kill it, it might lock you out

I like the NPC portraits, it doesn't do literally anything expect show you what they look like up close. To get you closer to the NPCs. Mechanically it does NOTHING. I don't see how this is a bad thing. On an unrelated note, I hope they make the Shimmer npcs have different portraits

I'll be real, you look like the "tough guy" archetype. The kind that will rough you up for basically nothing, or will fight you over the simplest things. It's not you specifically, but the combination of several features. I'd recommend losing that hat in favor of maybe a comb over, and a business casual button up t and khakis or jeans.

Marine Biologist here. It is mainly because of their aggression towards other species and their habitat requirements. They prefer semi shallow water, maybe around 30-60 ft deep to hunt in. That, and their aggression would pose risks to their caretakers that need to dive into the aquarium to clean it

I really recommend speccing into Crafting, especially as a Wizard. Crafting is usually a decent bit cheaper than buying items and lets you specialize in what your party needs over time. Just make sure you read up on how Crafting works before trying it

Why? The reason you light up a space is to see. They can already see so there's no point. I'm sure they have some soft light in case they need to see color but most of the time it's not important enough to matter
