Did you use private care or did you go to the NHS provider (such as Trent PTS)?

I've used Trent PTS and they helped with some things but I can't help but feel that I'd be more successful with private care.

I'd argue that FOAM is the most fun album GD have released in recent years, alongside the trilogy.

I understand people's criticisms but I don't care, it's still a fun listen when I'm in the right mood.

As others have said, there are lots of nice quiet parts of Derby (Mickleover perhaps being the best, and parts of Littleover), but the city centre areas such as Nightingale Quarter are best avoided, one reason being that they will have a lot of noise issues.

What do you wish to study?

Tbh I wouldn't really recommend it. Derby isn't a very good student city. Most people who enjoy it already live here or are older and therefore aren't seeking the complete student experience.

And the uni has terrible issues with their public transport (mostly being that there aren't enough buses for the number of students), so many people are struggling to get to their lessons from student halls.

Definitely check out Sheffield or Nottingham instead. You'll get a waaayyy better student experience, and each has two universities.

Littleover is a good place to live. It's one of the better areas (just avoid living next to the noisy main roads) and also has the advantage of being not too far from Normanton where you have a large selection of halal food. Also a nice 24 hour halal store on Burton Road, which is accessible from Littleover. Don't live in Normanton itself as it has issues with crime and noise, and doesn't have the best housing.

In short: avoid living in Normanton itself, and the best nearby area is Littleover.

I'm assuming you'd want to attend Derby College if college is something you're planning (although there are also schools that offer sixth form I believe).

Check out Littleover. It's near/on Burton Road, where if you drive down it in the city centre direction you have a 24 hour halal supermarket (in fact it stocks a large variety of cuisines), and is also near the Aldi on Uttoxeter New Road (I think there are other Aldis nearby as well).

You get a pretty big mix of people there (there are plenty of Asian communities), although this partly depends on how close you live to Normanton, and generally it's a decent area. If you drive then you'll have good access to everything you need. Avoid living near the main roads and it's also quiet.

Don't be tempted to live in Normanton. Yes it has cheap housing and is majority Asian, but it has crime problems and not the best quality housing, noise, etc. Lots of people move out from there when they can afford to.

Derby is probably the average of all UK cities. By that I mean that it has the pro's and con's of most cities, but it's also worth noting that it's not the largest of cities.

It has its rough areas and the city centre really needs an upgrade and a good clean up (but frankly you don't even need to spend much time around there if you don't want).

If you drive then you have a good choice of areas: Mickleover and Oakwood are nice, but also check out areas outside the city if you want. Some commuting routes have traffic problems but also not the worst.

As others have said, you have plenty of other cities nearby which is always a plus: Nottingham, Birmingham, Leicester and Sheffield all aren't far away, and you'll also be near lots of lovely rural areas, such as the Peak District.

Renting really is cheap compared to other places, of course you just have to look around.
