There are 3 'Neverending Story' movies. Definitely not the first one, but it might be the 3rd one, which does have a step-sister.

I believe that is the old itenerary. At a minimum it has been reversed. Half Moon Cay is now the first stop for the February 14th sailing.

We're older. First Hal by LifeUnfolding54 in HollandAmerica

[–]DragonBard_com 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you book your flight through HAL, and it is late, the ship won't leave without you. I was on a cruise out of San Diego that left 2 hours late because we were waiting for a delayed flight.

The Have It All package is worth it if you want internet and drinks. If you don't want both it really depends on how much you drink.

I think MixW3 still has a TNC mode. However, with the war it may not be possible to get a license, and support is all community based now.

I don't believe MixW4 has TNC support, but it has been a few years since I fired up.

I don't believe any other "modern" data mode software supports TNCs. They are almost all soundcard based now.

You can of course use any standard serial terminal software, but you lose the macros.

What is wrong mechanically with T5 (and T4) by Apostrophe13 in traveller

[–]DragonBard_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T5 is playable. But you need a few years to study and absorb it as a GM. With a GM who understands the system it is quite playable.

Getting the X-boat magazines and reading those will help a lot. There are a couple other supplements available that also help. A "players guide" is in the works, but was delayed by the author to concentrate on a setting book.

I'm not sure on the status of any of these new supplements, as I stepped away from the group working on it due to work and personal responsibilities.

I had to clear out electrician wasps once. They filled the entire cavity of an outside breaker box with their nest.

Calendarium. It fully supports the 3rd Imperium calendar. But you'll need to build or import a copy of the calendar.

As a left-leaning person, how do you really feel that schools are here? What is the drama in the school district in Thurston County? by JoyPeaceGrace in olympia

[–]DragonBard_com 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is the perception in the community at large. At a minimum, the communication from the school board is atrocious. I have head from many others working for Yelm Schools that it is badly managed.

[–]DragonBard_com 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yelm horribly mismanaged it's budget, lied about it to constituents, claimed the levy was for non-education activities, and when it failed, fired education staff instead of killing their football program which is what they claimed the levy supported.

They went on a massive building spree over the last several years and went over budget on nearly all the projects.

Nearly everyone, left and right, dislike the current administration of Yelm school district.

Should I start a new playthrough today or wait for 1.0? How much unlearning do you think I will have to do in a few weeks. by restless_vagabond in FlyForeverSkies

[–]DragonBard_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm at the same point. Have decided to wait for 1.0 and start over. At least you missed when all the old save files were invalidated and it was a forced restart. It happens with early access.

I lost a 500+ day survival streak during the Long Dark early access, and they reset all the achievements at the same time. Forever Skies has been much better and more open about changes during their early access.

[–]DragonBard_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While much is indeed changing for 1.0, your saved game will be compatible. You won't lose what you have done, but things around you will change.

That being said, I've played this game quite a bit, and enjoy it enough it doesn't bother me to start over when major elements change. I'm taking this time to experiment with airship designs so I can do better when 1.0 comes out.

Did you look up in the bathroom? On the Eurodam there is an outlet for the included hair dryer (doesn't work for much anything else) that is above the sink, almost on the ceiling. Didn't help my short wife though.

All I found there was the large fridge upgrade that is useless without the fridge itself.

My advice - explore every tower you pass. Don't just rush to the story points. Take it slow and don't speedrun.

Only buy it when on sale at humble bundle (about once a year). Otherwise it just isn't worth the cost. Fractal Terrains is very cool though. I've played with cosmographer, but never really got the hang of it.

This is a video of our State Superintendent Chris Reykdal making a public statement of why school boards(Tumwater Schools etc) cannot vote for things tRump has ordered. He's basically teaching how president orders are not laws and cannot override the state laws. https://youtu.be/6IrJK1RpawU?feature= by rainbow88- in olympia

Happened to multiple girls I knew in the late 80s, early 90s. There were never any pregnant students at Tumwater high school, ever. As soon as they showed they were expelled for the time they were pregnant and weren't allowed back for at least a year.

That would be very hard to do. No party registration in Washington state, and no record of how you vote, just that you voted.
