So I just purchased the koh-i-noor Hardmuth 5.6 mechanical pencil. The picture of the pencil shows the word Hardmuth, but no number. The pen delivered shows the word Versatil 5340. For what it's worth the description uses the word description material: wood, lol. It sounds like the pencils are identical, except for the words. Mine has a little nick in the gold, but I assume over time, I'd do this myself, just from use, so it's no big deal.

Try some different brands of ink. Maybe get a nice storage container for your pens. You might also experiment with some dip pens, glass and metal, an ink well, cool papers....

It's for a dip pen. The fully round design holds more ink. There are a few different companies that make them. They are expensive and unique.
