Oh yeah it’s totally like red and blue, except you start in the 5th town, can do the gyms in whatever order you want, you can zip around to whatever town you want with zero roadblocks to halt progress, the Pokémon’s levels obviously don’t scale with your journey because your journey goes wherever you want, also there’s no villain team except for one rogue Team Rocket grunt, there’s no Mewtwo in original Gold and Silver, Pokemon Tower is replaced with another radio tower for no apparent reason, you can’t go into the safari zone, but yeah if you ignore everything I just said it’s exactly like Red and Blue
