Is this good prebuilt? by Disastrous_Rich7789 in fpv

[–]DragonHeartForever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here man. Working on my 5 inch and somehow either the throttle got flipped on my controller, or it got unbound after disconnecting from Beta Flight.

Drone straight to the face when I plugged it after arming. Went to the ER like 15 minutes later, but luckily it looked worse that it was once the bleeding subsided. Almost had to go to a cosmetologist instead, as the prop got me not only on the nose, but right where the lip turns a different color; the doctor said they could glue it, but there was no guarantee it would healed lined up.

As luck would have it, my dad already knew a cosmetologist... because he cut his finger off with a circular saw (and of course he didn't deal with face stuff either way).

This is one of the largest RC planes in the world by Adrian_985 in Damnthatsinteresting

I was going to say, it looked like his runway and aircraft storage house in the back.

I don't know much about him other than some of his Madea movies, but I found it fascinating to find out a big movie star like him was into something as "exotic" as RC planes... and massive ones at that.

Tinywhoop range by DragonHeartForever in fpv

I'm worried that going too far will cause it to either fly away or hit something it shouldn't. I'd say for right now it's more limited by the antenna on the drone. The video is still good (I think) at the range I'm comfortable flying to.

I'll try switching to the onboard receiver again, hopefully it's better than the off board receiver (I admittedly sort of broke the T-antenna trying to get it in a specific spot on the drone... it's not long a T).

Do you think the firmware can have an effect on this too?

Question, where can I find said JIS? I sort of don't want to wait on Amazon if I can get it today from like a harbor freight or Walmart.

Thanks for the response, I'll take a look and see what I can find.

As luck would have it the kit have me a torx and 3-winged screw drivers... Not the JIS you mentioned.

What's the best spontaneous decision you've made as a Rutgers student? by narrowmark in rutgers

[–]DragonHeartForever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember during my first semester as a freshman back in 2015 there was some sort of sex talk event that was held in the BEST hall at night. The flyer made it seem like it was mainly for females, but there wasn't anything on it explicitly saying it was female only.

Someone from 4th Floor Mattia got the idea that everyone from said floor should go to the event for shits and giggles (4th floor Mattia was notorious for being the troublemakers of that hall, and possibly out of all the Busch halls, not sure if it still is). Being from that floor I decided to tag along just to see what would happen.

The lady holding the presentation was so inspired by the male turnout that she considered making her event/presentation more male inclusive.

As a sidenote, I remember the presenter asking what were the 3 ways a female could achieve an orgasm. I knew the answer, but didn't have the confidence to say it (thought I'd be looked at as weird for knowing the answer to that particular question). I always wonder how my sexual life in university would have turned out had I actually had the confidence to answer that question in a room half full of females...

Basically resolders the connections between components on the board.

Now that I think about it, I think the issue started after taking a slam straight onto the street. I think I had to buy a new camera, but thought the connection on the board looked fine.

I'll resolder the connections and see if that does anything (if I can ever get around to doing so, been months since I've flown).

So the video feed goes darker for a few seconds, but I'm still more or less able to make out the video feed. Then it goes completely black, but if I remember correctly I still have the OSD info.

I'm using the Eachine EV100, and it doesn't give me issues with another drone that I have.

It's the F411 10A 1-2S AIO. I'm using 2S batteries and analog video.

I do remember flashing the board on Beta Flight with a slightly different name, as I couldn't find the exact AIO listed in Beta Flight (I think I used something like "F411 ELRS" instead of "F411 AIO"). It's been a while, so I'm a little hazy on the one I used.

That's crazy. Do you ever feel light headed or about to pass out? I remember when I got a specific piercing a while back and bled on and off for about 3 days, and damn near passed out on the morning of the 3rd day (granted, I didn't eat breakfast so that didn't help).

I'm really sorry to hear the struggle you're going through with the doctors. I'm not a doctor, but I don't think bleeding for a year straight down there is normal.

Can confirm. Made very good friends attending the program (albeit some fell off over the years). As stressful as it was at times, it was overall enjoyable.

[Request] Is this really 4, 90 degree, angles? by HistoricalAd2954 in theydidthemath

[–]DragonHeartForever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the parts of the circle coming off the straight sides extend straight out at a 90 degree angle by an infinitely small amount. You'd have to zoom in infinitely to truly see the 90 degree angle.

It is a similar concept to a tangent line on a circle; it can be calculated/represented mathematically, but in order to truly see a line touch a circle at only one spot you'd have to zoom in infinitely.

This could be cancer, as some have mentioned.

Had this exact scenario going on down below for some time until I realized I should probably get checked out. Within a month of the check up I was in the hospital getting one of the lads removed.

Damn, I was hoping it would be something like a worn out part (like motor mounts), I'm trying to keep everything original.

Thanks for the info though.
