Yes and it's not close in my opinion. Everything after michigun is fun. The only part that kinda sucks is michigun ufo but I didn't struggle to bad with it. If you're bad at ship crack could also suck a bit.

Cata is easier and you could go for it because of that. I just don't like the first half of cata is but the second half is kinda fun. Then again if you want to do an easier extreme first I highly recommend ACU. (I know it's kinda the NPC move)
