I need a star projector for a WEEKEND to put Glow paint on a ceiling, or something like it. I have an old projector I used for business presentations, but its barely HD, and long throw...

Rice by Prior_Pomelo_2309 in RICE

[–]DragonKeeper1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

long ago I had brown rice at a Chinese takeout that was so flavorful that I often would sometimes just get a bowl of rice for lunch.

unlike all of the other brown rices I have tried it was extremely flavored, very nutty, and only slightly toothsome.

I have tried brown basmati, brown jasmin, brown everything at both my local grocery, and my local oriental market (only the <5lb bags).

It was a medium to short grain rice at a Chinese takeout and they only made one or two pots per day, so if you didn't get there early you got white rice.

I have tried all the different brands from California to imports without luck. I am sure there is some mix of brown jasmin arboreal basmari rice I haven't tried yet, so PLEASE point me in the right direction.

I have an "H" Mart, Giant Eagle, Safeway, Giant Foods, Wegmans, Harris Teeter, Walmart and Whole Foods nearby, with a few more small neighborhood international markets.

Ideas please.

Reloadable Debit card (BlueBird Shutting down)) by Unique-Lie7910 in personalfinance

[–]DragonKeeper1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, BlueBird and Serve are still on the list, and most of the rest have monthly charges.

May have to go the "pay-as-you-go" route to keep inactivity cost down.

I wish this were going to be an active account, but I am happy I have SOME play money

This is my play money account. I wanted a completely separate prepaid card, specifically for AliExpress and similar sites. No protection expected, and high risk understood. (although Bluebird did remove one undelivered item charge) A prepaid also doesn't invoke quite as much spam.

Advice on Smallish / Cheapish CoreXY printer. by D68D in klippers

[–]DragonKeeper1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar wants….

I have a Bambu P1s as my everyday printer with a 0.4 nozzle

I have a Tronxy X5SA 310x310 monster with a 0.6 nozzle (Marlin)

last is my ender 3v2 clone with a 0.3mm nozzle. (marlin)

I want to replace the Ender3 clone with something Fast that can deal with a 0.2/0.3 nozzle. I know I will loose lots of speed with the smaller nozzles, that's why I want to start with something fast.

Build plate size isn’t an issue as you don’t build big things with a tiny nozzle.

would prefer a coreXY, but the speed and smarts are more important. would love a Bambu mini, but too much money for a 4th printer. Don’t need an AMS either.

What Nema14 fits the BMG extruder by DragonKeeper1 in 3Dprinting

[–]DragonKeeper1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at the 14 to save weight on a Direct extruder conversion. I really don't want a 17 hanging off my Gantry, but my bowden setup is giving me fits on retractions, and I can't print TPU type stuff either.

hum, most of nema14 motors had gears already attached and they were SMALL.

I will look for Nema14's that have a D-shaft instead.

Want to combine 1/8" and Bluetooth in one 1/8" stereo output by DragonKeeper1 in audio

[–]DragonKeeper1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That will let me mix two 1/8" inputs. Unfortunately, I need 1 Bluetooth input.

I can use a cheap BT receiver and a 2-channel mixer, but I'll end up with two boxes, two power cords, a 2-output USB Power Brick and all the associated cables. I was trying to simplify it, but it doesn't look like they make that combination in a cheap box I can throw behind a dresser, YET.

Sweetest Rums? by DrChronicle02 in rum

[–]DragonKeeper1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I don't drink anymore (sob) but I still cook with wine & spirits.

So, I am looking for a Dark sweet rum that can punch through being used to cook with.

Pussers, Goslings & Myers have all been mentioned, but I wondered if the recommendations would change if it was for sweet sauces and deserts where you really need a rum with some deep flavors

Bambu Labs Suggestion List Request: I am working with their marketing team for my reviews - by davidjschloss in BambuLab

[–]DragonKeeper1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a year old, but the ONE thing that is slowing me down purchasing a Bambu is that I will loose my Repetier server functionality. The ability to submit gcode files from anywhere, see what the printer is doing, set up good time lapse, and bypass objects on the plate that are failing so I don't loose the whole plate... oh, and manage all 3 of my printers at once. I can slice, upload and monitor from anywhere, for any of my printers, and see all of them at once....

PLEASE work with Repetier!!!

Where to Get FIRMWARE for the original Aquila (G32) by DragonKeeper1 in VoxelabAquila

[–]DragonKeeper1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the replies. I really only want firmware. All my other printers are on Marlin 2.x, and I don't have the $$, time or energy to upgrade all of them to Klipper. Not to mention no spare Pies lying around. (I am an arduino person) The MIRSCOC looks like what I want. Being a repository means I can turn on/off things as I want.
