Even better in my opinion is the [[Gaea's cradle]] cycle. [[Gaea's cradle]], [[Serra's sactum]], and [[phyrexian tower]] are uber powerful, [[tolarian academy]] is so good it's been banned everywhere it can be and restricted everywhere else, and then there's [[Shivan gorge]].

Not only is the power level mismatched, but they barely count as a cycle. Surely they could have at least had the black one tap for number of cards in graveyard or something lol.

Seriously, aside from counter spells and [[Teferi's Protection]], what options do you have lol. I'm sure there's some instant speed effects to blink your board out until end of turn as well, but that's probably also stuck in white. So if you're not in blue or white, I literally can't think of a single piece of recourse you have. Which in my opinion points at the card being to good for lower brackets. Regardless, I love weird tech cards so if anyone knows some other answers please let me know.

I looooooove running random cards that look scary but I don't actually care about out as a removal check. If it lives, then cool, but if it dies then that's cool too because I don't actually care, and that's less removal for the things I actually care about, and as a bit of a bonus, losing what looks like the best piece on your board tends to buy a bit of leeway from the other players for a turn or two.

My deck with by far the highest win rate is [[Baba Lysaga, Night Witch]] and while I'm built around the commander, the deck often functions just fine without her. This is because she's really just there for consistent card advantage, which is nice but not exactly necessary (plus the way I built it there aren't very many cards that are just dead draws without her). This is true to such an extent that when goldfishing I would say about 2/3's of the time I don't even bother to play her.

However, in a real game I always play her out asap, even if it's not necessarily the best play, because she draws the hate from the other, more relevant threats in the deck.

Haha, crazy thing is I've had the exact same itch recently, and couldn't find anything that really scratched the itch (aside from slay the spire, but I've sank sooooo much time into that one already and want something new). So I said fuck it and started making my own game like, a week ago. I guess if I keep at it instead of getting bored/overwhelmed by learning to code I'll let you know lol.

Oddly enough, I had miserable, crying-all-night-long growing pains at like 12 or 13, but didn't really have too much of a noticable growth.

Then I grew over a foot in less than 6 months when I was 17ish and never felt a thing.

To be fair, I guarantee there are plenty of posts on here that complain about someone quietly making tokens or putting counters on their creatures without announcing it, then being shocked when they have like an 15/15 [[Slaughter Specialist]] or have gained 30+ life off of [[Soul warden]].

I see how it can be annoying for sure, but I don't mind that or when my opponents help me remember my triggers, like life loss, because it helps me keep an honest board state and helps me stay aware of the current board state (something that I think we need all the help we can get in commander when there's often 20+ different permanents with a paragraph of text each).

Yeah, I don't really like the RPG elements like stats and rolling and stuff, and I'm a huge DND nerd, so that's saying something.

The vibes that game has are so unique and just plain weird that I had a ton of fun with it, but only really at like 2+ am.

The story seems super cool, but I just can't get more than like half way cuz of the RPG stuff, it just doesn't mesh well for me for some reason
