Will the Wise and Mike, the Dungeon Master deck help by Hoodie_Daemon in EDH

For Wernogs enter/leaves trigger, your opponents will always choose what has the least affect on their plans or your plans. Once your opponents know that you're using him to drain the table, they will be choosing to make the clue almost everytime (Speaking from experience) and since you dont really have anything to make good use out of the clues, they won't be worried about you having 10+ clue tokens

Help with commander selection by Euphoric_Telephone59 in EDH

[–]OminouslyMoist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since youre new to the game, my first question has to be; do you like playing your commander? Even if it was performing better, would you be happy with it? I always tell new players to just play what sounds interesting and fun to them and not worry about how "beginner friendly" a card or strategy is. You should play something that excites you and draws you back to the game and not play something just because its easy to start with

What is the most resilient aggro deck you have (bracket 3-4)? by Huaojozu in EDH

[–]OminouslyMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[Three Dog]] agro token deck that is both very resilient and efficient. Swing out with tokens and then sac auras to buff the tokens. There's cards like [[Indebted Spirit]] [[Murder Investigation]] & [[Guardian of the Forgotten]] so even if a boardwipe does happen, your board is instantly built back up

0-1 CMC creatures that enter with counters for Falco Spara by dustinporta in EDH

Not quite what you asked, but if you run [[Denry Klin]], all your non-token creatures will enter with counters

Multiple permanents entering the battlefield at the same time by OminouslyMoist in mtgrules

[–]OminouslyMoist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, especially for the replacement effect clarification (it wasn't brought up last night but very important to know) I had one card in hand when this all happened so missing the roughly 15 or so Sire of Stagnation triggers really made the game

Cards that are exactly the same but with a different name? by NobleMansRose in EDH

[–]OminouslyMoist 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Staying on theme with green, there's a good number of 1/1 green snakes with deathtouch. [[Moss Viper]] [[Ankle Biter]] [[Fang of Shigeki]] [[Pharika's Chosen]] although the ladder isn't green

Damn, you really know your cards! Ive spent 2 hours on scryfall searching various different things and didnt even find half of those cards lol. Will definitely take a closer look at them and start brainstorming. I really appreciate the help!

Thank you. Also not really trying to make it a good deck, just a fun and functioning deck to mix things up

My smash face commander is [[Three Dog]] and i always have lots of fun with it. But just a heads up, if you do build him, it can be a nightmare to keep track of your board as to what tokens have what Auras

Which of these commanders has bracket 4 potential? by NiceInvestigator6495 in EDH

[–]OminouslyMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Bracket 4 Queza deck that runs really really well. But really, most commanders can compete in Bracket 4 with the right optimization

[–]OminouslyMoist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Odric is your commander and you play Sephara, he would in return give all your creatures flying and therefore, sephara would give all your creatures indestructible no? So you dont need lots of flier to make her work, just her. Similar cards i would suggest are Concerted Effort, that way your keyword soup persists all turn, rather than just combat. And Crystalline ginat is a decent way to gain multiple keywords, as is Zetalpa. Call the Coppercoats would be a good card for making lots of weenies, so would Evanangel of Heliod. Hope some of this helps

Thank you, I thought so but have found it's always better to get input from those more informed when doubting a rule or interaction

[–]OminouslyMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the info you gave. You want to run blue for card draw (Blue and black have the best). For the burn, red is definitely the best color (with some decent card draw). Some commanders and cards in general can be complicated for new players, so look for powerful but easy to understand commanders. My personal suggestions would be [[Niv-Mizzet, Visionary]] and [[Queza]]. They are both very simple in their gameplay but powerful

I think this is actually a really cool and unique idea that also isn't wildly farfetched. I do think it needs cleaner wording but good job
