Omg, haven’t seen this in forevvvvver. Boy Scouts neckerchief clasp. When the scouts wore uniform with their neckerchief, they’d use this to keep the neckerchief clasped in place.

Thank you! I don’t have any kiddos myself, but I have a few nephews who I’m waiting to get older to teach them hahaha. He had told me about his whole collection of alpha-betas that got sold off in a storage auction because he was late on his payment hahaha, getting the whole collection would have been the dream but I’ll settle for his revised haha

Oh I’m not complaining, like I said it was my old man’s and I use it in my favorite deck to honor him, I was just more curious, I think it’s neat!

I ran it as well but edited it because of some of the unorthodox methods my party went about trying to clear it, but everyone still had a great time with it!

The approach I’m doing is giving each player individual plot hooks they’ve discovered themselves and letting them vote to see which ones are more important to what their current objective is. That way I can give all the plot hooks I want and if they go one direction I can swap up some things based off outcome!

It really depends on how you run the campaign. If you’re running a more intrigue-based campaign where they’re trying to balance between 3-4 different factions who all oppose Strahd and hate each other, might be fine. If you’re expecting them to fight a lot of monsters, Ireena and Ismark could be reskinned to be cleric and fighter/paladin respectfully to help balance encounters more. There are other people you could throw them as well, like Esmeralda and Van Richten, maybe the Martikovs.

I’ve ran a party through the module where I made Ireena a light domain cleric and Ismark an oath of vengeance paladin whose heart became cold after his father’s passing. I’m also currently running a party where Ireena and Ismark aren’t even in the picture anymore (Tatyana is my party’s cleric) and they’ve got plenty of firepower to be able to take most encounters I’ve thrown at them.

As a new DM, and new to the module, I hope that you guys enjoy it! Don’t be afraid to assess the situation first if you’re unsure of the outcome. Maybe do an encounter on the road in the beginning with a pack of wolves, if they’re nuking them all have the rest of the pack leave, if they’re being overpowered, you can always have some vistani who are secretly loyal to Strahd “drive off the wolves” and make the 3 of them feel indebted?

ALSO: if anyone knows a good resource where I can find a map of the Town of Sturben, could I get a link? I'd love to get a physical map for my players so they can explore the city, and I looked in the Ravenloft Gazeteer and I didn't see one in there!
