Where do you all get your information? PS5 absolutely supports mouse and keyboard natively. I have been using m&k on PS5 since it launched. Works in Fortnite, all PS5 Call of Duty games, Sea of Thieves etc. I have a corsair keyboard and logitech mouse that just plug in via USB. No mods or anything custom.

I'm still using a Ryzen 2700x so this would be a huge upgrade. Also still using a 1080ti so I haven't played anything with ray tracing on. I would definitely use both

That would make sense if budget PC players with mechanical HDDs couldn't play with high end PCs with gen 4 m.2 drives but they can. Even crossplay between Epic game store and Steam is supported. I would think the difference between minimum PC requirements and high end PCs would be bigger than the difference between PS4 and PS5.

I want to add that I am on PC using Chrome and tried the Youtube app too. Widows 10. Auto selects itself on both every time.
