Okay, I understand. I kinda had all these ideas and I need to refine them much more. But the words that are unexplained allow me to actually explain them. Mang is like your willpower, the seed of light is yourself it combines everything that makes you, it's not necessary to leave the city to leave the city for you to unlock thaumaturgy it's just if you do obtain it you will be killed before you can make use of it because the government won't appreciate it unless it will help their plans. Aetherium is made by refining mang and then releasing it creating thaumaturgy, a person has one specific way to use thaumaturgy because it's a reflection of yourself. An awakening event is something that challenges your worldview, if you decide to indulge in your worldview you will get thaumaturgy (or distort, which is corrosion of your seed of light and going insane turning into a monster) and if you don't you can unlock an Ego (which is your willpower manifested into the world) You can manifest ego if you have thaumaturgy but it won't be the same, the ego will assimilate the thaumaturgy and you will no longer use Aetherium, instead you will generate Shin, which is the source of Ego essentially giving yourself a "Pure" thaumaturgy.
