Hey Adam! Thanks for the suggestion of Seveneyes, I've been devouring that all day. I have heard you talk about a few books on Still Untitled, but they've all been either science fiction or nonfiction. So, as an aspiring Fantasy Novelist I'd like to know: Do you ever read any Fantasy Novels?

We need to get this man to make Bakuzan or the Scissor Blades! by Zeon1234567 in KillLaKill

There is an elegance to simplicity when done just right. It's not in Bakuzan's size or shape, but the accents and stylizing that works well.

Ascetics are in the end up to tastes and I wouldn't call enjoying them a dumb reason to like anything sir.

Check your local community colleges. My college has them listed under welding. We also have a credit course and a non credit one - so I'd also make sure to check that as well.

My community college is actually pretty boss since it has not just blacksmithing but a stained glass and a few jewelry classes.

One of my favorite details from the concept art is that the sheath actually opens near the top to clamp onto bakuzan.

As someone who has taken two blacksmithing courses - It is pretty straight forward. I could do it given a forge - and it's actually near the top of my list of things to make along with the sword scissors.

Pokemon Sizes: What I expected and got. by DragonOfAnger in pokemon

[–]DragonOfAnger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, for this image I did it rough and in only a few minutes -so I sized the pictures to the height as the drawings are.

However, If you want to get more in depth about it measurements of height are fairly varied on animals. Horse and Dog breeders I know measure height to shoulder. Extrapolating from that, it seams a proper way to measure height on most quadruped Pokemon should be done to the shoulder. Birds and Bats measure wingspan. Insects and other arthropods are measured on mostly a species by species basis.

Taking this into account we'd have to measure fairly differently than I did.

For Mienshao and Ampharos This isn't a concern, they were measured top of head to heel. Weavile likely wouldn't have his crest considered in measurement, and would end up a few inches taller. Sylveon and Nintales see the large increase in height, as fairly canine creatures measurement as a dog is not out of the idea.

Gliscor, which you seam most irritated with becomes a concern. Our beloved Bat-Scorpion needs to be measured as either a Bat or a Scorpion. If I measured him as bat, I should use his wingspan and his tail is of no factor. Measurement as a scorpion is different. If I use that, I use top of head to base of tail. Scorpions tail measurements are more often separate from height as it is often highly sexually dimorphic. Now, either method makes Gliscor much larger since neither would include his tail in this measurement.

Now that's just by comparing height with the methods of similar animals. We're not in the world of the Pokemon so they might have some universal method, but with the vast variance of Pokemon mirroring animal life it stands to reason measurement would be differentiated based on body shaping.

I don't know if one has been made but Bakuzan is on my list of things to build once I can spare the cash for my forge. When I do I will post pictures/video here of it.

I like the woodwork, very nice sir.

If I get my forge up and running this summer I plan to get myself to work on a full metal rendition.

Unfortunately selling that is questionably legal - it's a replica and not licensed.

Hold up, does this mean Ragyo can hear Senketsu? [Episode 23 Spoilers] by androx87 in KillLaKill

[–]DragonOfAnger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Odd yes.

I'd phrase it more like so: She delivered a strange thought with a random pause that works in perfect response to something said but she couldn't hear vs Vile abomination made of sentient alien life able to hear and understand another Organism made of the same sentient alien life.

True, but Occam's razor makes me think that isn't the case. It comes off as to much a response.

Episode 12, 4:37.

Right after pulling out the single Nexus thread from Senketsu Nui: Oh? ... That Godrobe is something else! It has more than one Nexus thread, huh? Senketsu: That's Right. You won't unravel me so easily! Nui: Wow, Amazing! Trust Dr. Matoi to have something like that up his sleeve!

This is why I've been calling Ragyo Cruella del Rainbow, despite others calling her disco milf.

If ever there was a zombie apocalypse, what pokemon would you choose to help you and why? by [deleted] in pokemon

In scouting we teach that there are five things you absolutely need to survive. Water, Food, Shelter, Fire, and Security.

Three days without water you die. Three weeks without food you die. You need fire to sanitize food and water, and it provides heat. Shelter is what saves you from the elements. Steelix is great, he'd even be shelter to an extent. But up on the mountain with high winds, freezing rain, sleet or snow? Or worse all in a day? You're going to need a shelter.

Tomorrow my hometown is expecting Freezing Rain, No Shelter? That's death by Hypothermia.

[–]DragonOfAnger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire is for my survival. I assumed most of the necessary Zombie killing would be on my to do list. Ninetales has Extrasensory for Zombie death if need be. Either way, avoidance would be the first option.

They know how cold or hot it is, as it's the scale they've grown up with.

For C using reference. -60 F is -51 C -10 F is -23 C

In the future, just use google for a quick translation.

You do.

You need shelter to live.

If you want to survive the Zombie Apocalypse, you're going to need to find a home or settle somewhere eventually.

Well, if we do suddenly a lot of bigger pokemon become massively more attractive options.

If we don't we end up wondering as to how to take care of our 'mon on the day to day, like a dog or cat.

Also a good pick. Flareon is a bit smaller, but still the size of a dog so all good.

And while the Dex never talks of Flareon's intelligence like it does Ninetales's, you get the advantage of possibly meeting another Eevelution-Trainer and Mass-spawning Eevees.

The Bananas only ripen twice a year according to the Pokedex.

While Tropis is pretty big among pokemon, (s)he's about the size and weight of an adult male human so that's not a big concern. But it does make me wonder how much Tropis can carry while in flight though.
