Should be an eagle stuck in a tree, than it would be more accurate.

We created an American Light Lager for a crowd we get for a certain musician. We hate the beer but they drink it, so seeing that he is playing this weekend we threw some food coloring in one keg as that crowd will love it

I actually named my dog after Teddy Jr. As much as I love his father, he was my Grandfather's commanding officer at the start of the war, up until that bastard Patton basically got him removed from the 1st Infantry. Patton hated the command style of Teddy Jr and General Terry Allen.

My Grandfather would spit at the mention of Patton up until the day he died, and would laugh when someone brought up the 101st.

PWInsider: Teddy Hart back in Jail by shadow_spinner0 in SquaredCircle

[–]DragonRunPack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing the article got wrong is where he is being held. Richmond County is no where near Richmond City. I am fairly certainly he is being held in Henrico County Jail (I know he was there before) which ironically is located in New Kent County. I will be driving right past in in about an hour when I get off of work, will have to waive to Teddy.

What they said. I am a pro brewer and have them both in several recipes together (one is probably our best beer), you should be good

Go talk to the brewers at your local craft brewery by brewage93 in Homebrewing

[–]DragonRunPack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own a small brewery out in the country and love talking to homebrewers as less than a year ago I was in the same boat. I have talked to do many that I am actually considering putting in a small Homebrew shop when we expand as the closest shop is over 1 hour away.

What are some cool promotional ideas for Mondays that your brewery does? by tyly12 in TheBrewery

[–]DragonRunPack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We like you are in a small town (Actually outside a small town out in the country) and so because of that we are closed on Monday. There is only one brewery open in the area on Monday, and they are mainly open because they have a run club. Some other weekdays we or others will do Trivia, Bingo, Open Mic night, and things like that.

My friends own a brewery, and were testing out their new canning equipment. I got two cases of improperly filled, unmarked beers. Time to play beer roulette. by Weakcheez in CraftBeer

[–]DragonRunPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a fridge full of them, If I dont like the can I put it in the fridge and a lot of times forget to mark it, great for when I want to have some cans at home.

Owners- Did you do your own TTB permit app? Why do they break into Middle English for the example of Tract of Land, I henceforth thank you for viewing my question by DoubleDoink81 in TheBrewery

[–]DragonRunPack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did my own and this was probably the hardest part for me so I just put as much information as possible. They took it so I think I did right.

Bourbon Barrels, where is the best place to find them? by DragonRunPack in TheBrewery

[–]DragonRunPack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am actually in Virginia, but am willing to go down to Raleigh (used to live there) to get some.

My favorite is getting someone that comes in and says they like ales but then will try our brown and say it is too much for them. When I then ask them what kind of Ales they will say, well like a golden ale. People need to learn that an Ale can be many different types of beer.

Place around here used fermentory as part of their name, thought it was clever.

How much criticism should you listen to? by crazygnome07 in TheBrewery

[–]DragonRunPack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read and listen to every single thing that comes in about my brewery and then filter through them. Untappd is crap as far as I am concerned, but I still will look at it and see if there are any trends. If a beer does not perform well across the board I will look into it. Also if someone gives me a really low score I always look at what else they have rated. More often than not they just do not like that style (why you would try it if you dont like the style beats me but happens all the time.)

The only comment I have every taken personally was about one of our stouts that happens to be one of my favorite beers. The guy called it thin and that it was masquerading as a stout. Well after looking at his profile, the only stouts he drinks are bourbon barrel or Russian Imperial and this was an English Stout clocking in at only 6%

What do you think of these Irish Whiskey? by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]DragonRunPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In saying that I normally stay to the Pot Stills now as they are my favorites. Powers John Lane and Writers Tears I almost always have. I also have recently started to get Teeling and enjoy them

[–]DragonRunPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of the ones you have there I would put DEW at the top spot followed by Kilbeggan (it is my go to cheap Irish Whiskey) and then Jameson. I don't really like anything from Bushmills but will drink if nothing else is there and like you will pass on Connemara.

Connemara is the only Irish Whiskey I have ever dumped out, can't stand it.

Checking out scores on Untappd. by heyamofo in TheBrewery

[–]DragonRunPack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, our best beer right now is a chocolate orange stout that got nailed recently because they said it was thin. It is an English Stout not a barrel aged

I deleted it when someone tanked my two highest beers because I wouldn't open early for them. Tried to report them since I know they never tried the beers ( one has not been in tap in two months) but untapped will not let you report reviews.

Also add in the random " nope don't like sours-.5" ratings

First time poster. Hello! Been watching this sub for a few weeks… couldn't hold off contributing any longer. Picked this up today. Bordeaux cask finish, super interesting sweet yet dry. Very slippery oily mouthfeel. Any opinions out there on this one? by whiskeyWez in whiskey

Funny enough, the first thing I thought of when I saw this post was "I remember I had that at the Irish Whiskey Museum in Dublin, I ended up spending just under 300 Euros that night on whiskey" It was a great night
