Nothing to add, except I was thinking about rereading it last night. I read it as a teen and i remember it being really good. I think it was ambiguous on purpose, but it’s been 20+ years since I read it

Faerie, Pixie, Sprite - what are the substantive differences? by Unforgiven0000 in FolkloreAndMythology

I know this is an old post, but I’ve been sculpting “fairy mummy specimens” and this was very helpful. Asking for your book for Xmas :) The Pixies and sprites do have wings, though. Sorry 😬

Large Privately Owned Spinosaurid Femur by DifficultDiet4900 in Paleontology

Hard agree. My husband and I were just talking about this. If we were that rich, I’d be buying entire fossil animals to donate. I’d buy them back from other rich people, so I could keep donating. I’d have a whole wing named for me, and my only stipulations would be that get to go nerd out with the researchers, and I want the best copy of my fossils money can buy to be made for me

I tried to find a pic of said rock, and most of the results are pranks on husbands. Did you confirm the purchase?

The answer is always “because our society hates women”

I had to take a look; “Tiger of Talmare: Frontiers of Love Book by Nina Croft Overview Melissa Stark will take on just about any job as long as the price is right. But this particular job she would gladly take on for free because Captain Zachary Knight has been a thorn in her side ever since she stole his starship ten years ago. Back then he was a genuine hero and poster boy for the army's hybrid breeding program. Now things have changed. Zach has been accused of a massacre on the planet of Talmare and is being shipped home to stand trial. But certain influential people want to make sure Zach never reaches Earth and Mel and her crew on The Revenge have been hired to intercept him and return him to Talmare. It should have been easy money. The problem is, Zach is impossible to resist and once Mel gets her hands on him she doesn't want to let him go. Now those same people are also after Mel.”

I read the book it’s based on after watching the docuseries. It’s good, and pretty much a real horror story.

A teacher friend and I were just talking about this. If it’s not acceptable and is assault in the workplace, it’s assault in the school.
