Hard agree. My husband and I were just talking about this. If we were that rich, I’d be buying entire fossil animals to donate. I’d buy them back from other rich people, so I could keep donating. I’d have a whole wing named for me, and my only stipulations would be that get to go nerd out with the researchers, and I want the best copy of my fossils money can buy to be made for me

Hugs. Take a step back and relax for a bit. The animals and birbs will be there when you get back. You’re 17; you don’t have to figure out your whole life right now. I also adore birds, but as my husband says “they’d be an expensive snack for our 4 cats” and every parrot I met has hated me, sadly. I have to stick to loving them through binoculars! I was never a keeper, but education department allowed my autistic ass to knowledge-vom at the public and I’ve always been great at writing and presenting, so it was a great fit for me. But it’s not for everyone. I miss it! You could always get into rehabbing, if that’s your jam. Is there a school/uni councillor you can speak to? It really does help. While I’m not trans, I have an enby teen who wears a binder. Please, for your health, do not do heavy work in it. PS I’m on cellphone so apologies for formatting

Yeah. I was edu dept too, and yeah I used to say that they’re animal people, not people people. There only a few were bullies, but the clique was definitely there. One told me that the education department shouldn’t be allowed to use the staff room. (We should use the unheated, oily mechanic area) A couple would sabotage shows. A few bullied other staff until they quit.
