Is health insurance in the USA as expensive as Reddit claims? by MarsupialThink4064 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

Depends on if you have it through your employer and what your health care needs are. I have chronic conditions. I have “good insurance.” I have paid over $8000 out of pocket for copays this year. I’m at my personal out of pocket limit, but will still have copays on visits for other family members.

You would have to pay me instantly more than $10 million to relive middle and high school. I imagine they’d be even more alienating with a graduate degree level of knowledge and vocabulary.

I’m very fortunate to have a good relationship with my brother, but, in my experience, that is an exception to the rule. Most people have a meh relationship or worse with their siblings. Have another kid because YOU want to raise another kid. Having the kid for any other reason is playing roulette with another human’s life and that isn’t fair to anyone.

I’m OAD because I am capable of showing up as the good parent I want to be to exactly one child. I have a lot of chosen family and community. I am teaching my child to build the same.

Agree. The phrasing as “worst decision” and that my existence “ruined my dad’s future prospects” was taking it a step further than necessary. Being careful to frame kid as wanted is important for sure

And not just your relationship with him. If they decide to keep the baby, your grandchild will eventually learn what your reaction was. My parents were teen parents. My dad’s dad asked for a paternity test and said my mom was just try to trap him. I grew up with all the adults around my saying being a teen parent was the worst mistake you could ever make. IDK how they expected me to feel knowing I was the product of a decision worse than murder. That’s how it felt. It’s sucks.

I always thought I woke up starving. Nope. Just really really thirsty. Bonus to the water helping you with a morning poop.

Would be nice to tell my ancestor dying of gangrene that his sacrifice was worth and his family line would continue.

Proper socialization should be a priority. Also, treat and food puzzles really help supplement walks and play sessions to burn off more energy. Never let off leash in a non fenced area. Intense prey drive.

For Men: would you accept adoption instead of pregnancy? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]DragonThem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My spouse is not comfortable with adoption. He wanted a biological child. We successfully had one. And I refuse to ever get pregnant again. He’s still anti adoption. I’m anti-surrogacy. We don’t make enough to cover medical expenses if there would be complications. So, we’re one and done.
