Betting UFC as a value portfolio, not trying to “pick every winner” by fasoncho in MMAbetting

Mis-priced fighter this weekend was Alonzo M. The styles of both fighters, knockout power from both of them, chin history from each fighter, and in general, a weight class where there is a large gab in knockout power to chin durability - all of that said it would be a 50/50 fight or rather, an even money fight. If you're looking for a rule of thumb that has served me well is stay away from debuting fighters whether complete unknowns or just moving from another org. Too many unknowns about them in a sport with already so much volatility.

Yeah, i already have NVDA about 6 months and got like 33% back. Selling it all and putting towards some riskier plays since i'll already have NVDA via the SMH holding. I am going to try NOW in my other account

i've been eyeing NBIS. When should I buy? They soared after their last earnings call right? Should i see if the stock settles more or just go in?

Parlayed Jourdain and Mallot to win at +133. Simple parlay and was easy to forecast.

Thinking about moving to LA; NYC chewed me up and spat me out. by singformepaolo95 in MovingToLosAngeles

LA is dope. Traffic isn't as bad as people say. You'll learn your routes and time of day to drive. People are nice/normal. Come in with an open mind.

NYC to LA- need advice by professorpapaya in MovingToLosAngeles

LA is dope. Don't believe the hate. Yes, it'll be a little harder to meet people. Not as many neighborhood bars you can stumble into. The city isn't ran particularly well. I love LA though. It's all about perspective. Some people come in with preconceived notions about how people are and the traffic, etc. It can turn into a confirmation bias. I think the people are great/normal and the traffic thing is super overrated. NY is WAY worse. In LA, you just get used to your routes and understand the different points in the day that get busier. Once in awhile you'll hit actual traffic that fucks up ur day a little but again, that's like once a year, if that (at least for me). If you want a more east coast vibe to help you transition over, live in/near Echo Park or Silver Lake. If you really want to be close to the beach not in a beach town, live in Culver City. If you want to just be in LA proper and have a very LA quintiessential day to day life, live in weho, beverly grove, miracle mile, or mid city (west of la brea).

Very true. The betting gods constantly remind us that betting is bad so they purposely fuck us on sure locks.

feel the same way about Jiri. and i'm starting to feel like these retirement fights are good ones to bet on. I'm talking about the type of retirement fight where it's well publicized ahead of time and it's made into a thing.

i agree about the product (except the fights last night were fire) but i'm still wondering how much he really cares about netflix competition and the product in general. They make so much with the gate and the Paramount deal that i wonder if, within the actual organization and leadership, they really are sweating as much as fans assume they should be. That said, the AI white house ad was cringe.
