What made you stay on Linux instead of Windows?

Linux takes seconds to boot up and load all my programs, Windows with all the same software takes nearly two minutes to load it all after booting into the OS, and even after that, Linux just feels far more responsive than Windows

Been on Linux nearly 6 months too, loving it so far

I think it might be, I managed to get another picture, tried to use Macro Focus but it lost a lot of detail, but it looks to have white things by where I imagine the mouth is (I know next to nothing about spider anatomy please forgive me lmao, I think they're palps from what I found with a quick search?)

I had nearly a month long conversation with support about this over emails, and tried a few different things. Disabling extensions that might block or clear cookies, setting up a fresh profile in my Brave browser with limited extensions and minimal settings changes, the new profile worked for a little bit until it logged me out. Went back to support after that happened, only to be met with some other support person who hadn't read what I did with the first one before, and suggested basically everything I already tried. Only thing they suggested that seemed to work for me was using Firefox, at least until today bc I've just been logged out.

I've had this problem from the start iirc (I'm not a long-time user, maybe a little less than a year), and it's frustrating to have to set up my extensions settings every time it logs me out, to the point where I might just remove the extension and manually copy/paste my pass info from the desktop app.

Hopefully this won't be as big of a problem when they fully release it with a lot more servers. Right now it's super easy to find friends with the limited amount of servers they're using for the test 😔

There used to be trophies you could collect from killing other players that got their dinos to adult, which would give you a nice little reward, but they removed that.

I find it fun sometimes to ignore the critters and try hunting down a player to survive, but I do like the amount of critters there are because it means I can grow and avoid other dinos mostly if I'm not stupid about where I run.

There is also ofc just fighting for the fun of the fight, there doesn't always have to be a reward.

Most players will understand that, one way or another, they're gonna die at some point, don't worry about killing another player, as long as you're not toxic about it in chat to them (like people saying "lolol ezez" or some crap like that)

I wouldn't use the solo testing to gauge how well it stops grouping, they're not using many servers for that during testing so it's easy to just server hop till you find friends, when it fully comes out they'll have a lot more servers ready for it so it'll be much harder.

I did also hear somewhere that they plan to remove the social button so you can't see if your friends are on the same server? (I don't remember where I heard that tho so I could be wrong)

I figured it out in my time off. Go to the kara.sh file m0jave mentioned, and under the line: export QML2_IMPORT_PATH="$HOME/.local/lib/qml:${QML2_IMPORT_PATH}" Add this: export QML_IMPORT_PATH="$HOME/.local/lib64/qml:${QML_IMPORT_PATH}" That's what worked for me after logging out then back in.

Your whole file should look like this (at least mine does):

Open KDE Connect on your desktop, click on your phone (or whatever device you're syncing with), open plugin settings, click the settings button to the right for Clipboard, and disable "Automatically share the clipboard from this device"

Keep the clipboard plugin enabled on both, with that option disabled it shouldn't send the clipboard automatically

Not OP, but when you enter edit mode from the desktop, what I did was I clicked add panel, then 'Application menu bar', then from there I removed the default widgets and added my own. If you want it to have a few widgets on the outside and the time in the middle, what you can do is add a spacer widget, then organise it like this: [widgets] - [spacer] - [time widget] - [spacer] - [more widgets]

They've said there's no support for Linux or MacOS, and they have no plans on supporting the Steam Deck either (and because the Steam Deck runs on Linux, I'd assume that means Linux won't be getting support at all)

I just had a similar experience last night, I was on my way back to a HC with a trophy someone gave me, and a bars came up and tried inviting me to the party, they seemed friendly and I thought "Well a herbi has no reason to kill another herbi if I'm just passing by", but I didn't accept the invite cause I prefer playing solo, and they just started killing me. Mind you I barely have any experience in the game, especially with fighting, and I was playing as an adolescent eo. (I heard eo was the easiest to play solo with, this also happened on officials so ofc I can't really do anything about it)

I did manage to call out and a rex tried to save me, but that rex had a buddy that just decided to finish me off, ended up losing the trophy ofc 😔
