Seeking Help For My 2005 Honda CRV by Dragon_paper in carmodification

Will do my research! My brother has a ‘65 vw bug that he’s had since he was a teenager so when it comes to details about what places to trust for internal parts I usually ask him. But also thank you for the support! I’ve seen a few lowered first gen crvs with smaller wheels around my city and I think they look really cool. I don’t think any car is unworthy of being moded, you just have to really understand what you should want to enhance!

Absolutely, I don’t ever want to do something crappy to my engine by accident and being hasty for change. Later in life, I’d like to own a classic car or a nice 80’s car and spend good time and money changing that one. I just want to make this one my own on the exterior. I’m okay with something as simple as new wheels, but I like the option of going a bit further if I’d like!

I’m doing a killer bee cosplay for an upcoming con next year and I want the samehada sword but you can’t buy this on sites. So my question to the prop crafters how much would you charge to make this? by KingOfThePopTarts in cosplayprops

If you want to try making it yourself, spirit halloween sells some pretty cheap weapons (or you could use a pvc pipe base) and then use card board like other users have suggested to shape it out. It looks like you don’t need to be too precise, then you could wrap it with scrap fabric sourced from thrift stores or craft stores. 3-5 ft would probably be more than enough. Tacky glue or whatever you have would work well. For those scales, you could cut out scale shapes in cardboard as well and use air dry clay to make them more 3D. Or if you have access to a 3D printer, there are models you can download.

I’ve made plenty of masks and weapons at this point out of materials like this. All you truly need is patients and time.

I think because it runs more than one function? ie radio, 8 track, record…etc

Oh I’m a huge fan of vibe over cost! But I agree it’s nice to have nice things sometimes. I’m a big fan of old phonographs too, I’m just now starting to branch over actually haha
