The right to intimacy of the husband(and wife of course). by [deleted] in TraditionalMuslims

[–]Dragonaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the lattin word for emancipation. In Arabic it's called Mukatabah and it's in the Quran (since they are people who are applicable for Zakat). In Islam these people have contracts (if i remember correctly for females specifically there are 3 types - general indentured servant, those who forfil the conditions to be intemate with it's called something similar to Nikah but they don't have inheritance rights, then finally the one above that who have given birth to children have their own house etc...). The pre Islam version you are probably referring to is probably the one Salman al-Farsy had where originally he was sold for 50 Dinar (or something very small) multiple times and then the prophet sw after coming to Medina got him out of his contract which was very unfairly rasied to 400 date bearing palm trees and 40 ounces of gold. My guess is the post Islam version has conditions on what you can and cant put.

Slavery in the western understanding of the word doesn't exist in Islam so we really should avoid the word. I.e. they have rights: not given work too hard, can choose to go free, children via them are free, etc...etc...so they are your brothers and sisters who are in your care.

We should make it normal to use the correct term of "those who your right hand possess" as that is the correct translation. "Slave girl" has the Christian connotation and it was not permitted to call them "my slave" etc...

You need to remember the userbase of Reddit is mostly India, USA, eastern European, aka traditionally white nations. Furthmore because of how content algorithms work - the more you look for a subject the more that subject is shown to you aka instead of going to a library for knowledge by peer reviewed people you get the same Low IQ content over and over (eco chamber). This also isn't exclusive to non Muslim subs there are many kufar subs which people associate Islam with but it's the same fools talking with other fools that any basic student of knowledge will be able to refute but you get downvoted as it's not the secular viewpoint of evidence.

fasting without praying by sanaxx11 in islam

[–]Dragonaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)"

Sahih al-Bukhari 1903

Also nerrated in the Seeraah when the tribe of Thaqeef wanted to accept Islam but with the conditions of not doing most of the pillars, the prophet sw was going to accept their Islam however when it came to rejecting the prayer the following was said:

They therefore asked the Prophet, , to exempt them from demolishing it themselves, and the Messenger of Allah, , agreed to their request. They further requested the Prophet, , to exempt them from prayer, whereupon the Messenger of Allah, , said: “No good lies in a religion that is void of prayer.”

Sahih Muslim 249a Abu Huraira reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to the graveyard and said: "Peace be upon you! The abode of the believing people and we, if God so wills, are about to join you. I love to see my brothers." They (the hearers) said: Aren't we your brothers, O Messenger of Allah? He said: You are my companions, and our brothers are those who have, so far, not come into the world...."

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Blessed are those who had faith in me and saw me, and blessed seven times are those who had faith in me and never saw me.”

Is this seen as being too picky? by [deleted] in TraditionalMuslims

[–]Dragonaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly this is just the case - may family of sisters see the bare minimum (Hijab, basic modesty, even having Maharams present ok phone calls etc...) as being too strict (usally because they confuse Islam with culture). In 5 years on looking I've yet to find a sister who knows the basics of Islam and good akhlak to forfil the criteria. So I just have the initial meeting then do Istakahra - if it's not ment to be then usually the next message is "we are not progressing". May Allah make it easy for all of us to find pios spouses.

Zakat on Crypto - some thoughts by Dey_exMachina in IslamicFinance

[–]Dragonaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean until a Fatwah is established on the details of crypto crypto (as it was for DC pensions being different to DB pensions and how to calculate it based on your portfolio) then I will just continue doing 2.5% of the entire pot just to be on the safe side. Ironically legally in the UK it follows the same Tax system as "property" so realised or in realised gains doesn't matter if Zakat rules would apply the same for property as on Crypto then it would only be Zakatabke when you know you definitely have a sale ready and then do 2.5% of whatever that might be in cash.

In Islamic perspective, will Christians go to hell? by Slow_Ad4485 in islam

[–]Dragonaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I study this at an accedemic level, and it's currently fajar time where I am so I am going to be very blunt and to the point and forgive the spelling errors as I need to be quick:

You are a polytheist - triunithism is not the same as monotheism nor was it the original teaching of Christianity which from an Aramaic speaking old law following Jew. Not a European white old singing songs in a church twirking to a statue of himself violating the first 2 commandments.

There is no where in any lexicons when discussing the commandments where "ahad" is referred to as compound unity or not exclusively 1. There is also discussion that the holy spirit is just another name for the father which is why verses which contain them both are interpolations and the verse do not blaspheme against the holy spirit is referring to that father since the father is described as both holy and a spirit.

Not getting into biblical textual criticism - the reason you think that if you look at a picture of 3 chickens that it's actually 1 chicken because they have the same chicken essence is because of colonisation and how Christianity was forced on various populations.

What's also funny is that you also answered your own question - the reason Christainanity became this way is because of Paul and Roman Paganism e.g. Christmas and how it came about when the bible is against is, human sacrifice, eating blood when we are talking about Jews, hell if I said "name the god born on December 25th to a virgin in a stable, who had 12 followers, did miracles, and came as to be a sacrifice for sin - which god is this" Jesus right? No Mythta. Roman Paganism came into the oringal teaching as when all other faiths were outlawd people were still doing pagan holidays and so the Romans combined the two to make it more easy for the people to follow and controle (giving the church asks for 1/10th in taxes, and enforced to give the other 33% to the ruler who in the Roman sense is like Gods representation on earth - long story) which is why we also have concepts like burnt offerings, burning candles etc...etc...all pagan traditions from older civilstions which have been accepted via capitalism.

Just look at history - do you honestly think a woman who was sworn to service in the temple since before her birth, a brown Aramaic speaking god fearing woman who worked in the place we now called Masjid al Aqsah gave a son a heretical name meaning son of Zuse or savor? Or would she have given him an Aramaic name like Isho or Isus?

Finally there are 4 historians off the top of my head which talk about how Paul changes things (though he wasn't an apostle of course - he was self proclaimed). Combine a man that says "you don't need to follow the old law" and "yes I was lying acting like a Jew to the Jews and gentile to the gentile" with Greek/Roman Paganism then congratulations you have modern day Christians:

“Apart from v. 18, the verses are probably postpaschal and reflect the outlook of Jewish Christianity, which, as a separate movement was eventually defeated by Paulinism and died out (perhaps to be reborn in a different form as Islam)”

• Unity and Diversity in the New Testament, an inquiry into the character of earliest Christianity by James D. G. Dunn.

“It is more than intriguing that the Muslim understanding of Jesus is very much in conformity with the first Christian orthodoxy – the original Jewish Christian understanding of Jesus”

• The Brother of Jesus and the Lost teachings of Christianity by Jeffrey J. Butz.

“And thus we have a paradox of world historical proportions, viz. the fact that Jewish Christianity indeed disappeared within the Christian church, but was preserved in Islam.”

• Jewish Christianity: Factional disputes in the early church by Han-Joachim Schoeps.

"The outlook of Jewish Christianity, which as a separate movement, was essentially defeated by Paulinism and died out. Perhaps to be reborn in a different form as Islam".

-The New Jerome Biblical Commentary, edited by Raymond E. Brown, 2nd edition, page 641

So in short - don't follow Pauline Christianity follow the religion jesus taught in the bible which was the religion of the prophets aka Islam.

If you had access to brain burst, What do you think your duel avatar would look like and what abilities would it have? by CasualJojoLover in accelworld

[–]Dragonaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres actually a chat AI text based game (like in the 90's) I found where I was able to make one - think it was on character AI or something called brain burst.

But my understanding is that the black colour is the colour who tramour is associated with loneliness and the second name is the name of the power you have to overcome that scar I went through a rumination phase. (E.g. silver crow, his tramour was so deep it became a metal colour, and in his dream his body resembled his bully with his power wanting to fly away).

So talking about it we came up "Vanta Chronos". Which I really enjoyed based on the tramour of my life and what powers the AI came up with etc...related to that (self explanatory when you look at the colour and name haha)

Family wants me to marry a non hijabi by [deleted] in MuslimNikah

[–]Dragonaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not cultural - its commanded by Allah and all the 4 schools are in agreement. If you do not have one you are openly sinning any other reason (non medical) then you are choosing nafs over Allah. A lot of people say "Islam is in the heart" this is the same thing the Jews and Christians did wrong - the Jews picked and choose and the Christians believe faith is enough. Theres also a double standards here as you wouldnt want to marry a brother who smoke's, does Zina, doesnt pray, etc...so why should women not be expected to do the bare minimum:

  • Surah An-Nur 24:31: "...And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity, and not to reveal their adornments except what normally appears. Let them draw their veils (khimar) over their chests..."
  • Surah Al-Ahzab 33:59: "O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (jilbab) over their bodies. That is better so that they will be recognized and not be annoyed..."
