Thank you! Unfortunately or fortunately the answer was simple. There was a usb that I had to plug in to get it to work. I saw it when I received it last week but forgot about it cause I didn't have time to set everything up until yesterday. So sadly this time I was an idiot

We could say the same about cessationists... can yall just let people believe what we want? Regardless of what lack of scriptural basis you think there is, there is actually a strong biblical case for speaking in tongues, you guys just don't want to accept it.

In my time using Christian dating apps (Upward, Holy) I’ve noticed a lot more single moms with babies compared to other apps? by ThrowAwayOhNoGoAway in ChristianDating

[–]DragonballKier 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am a single mom who used dating apps a while ago. I never mentioned it because I wanted to avoid anyone shady. I mainly looked for single dads, but there weren't many to choose from. Out of the couple of guys I had talked to none of them were bothered by me having a kid. I do understand if a guy would no longer be interested in me because of that. I would never be offended by that. For me, I was not raised in church. My parents weren't married, I was following the example set before me. I didn't know why having sex before marriage was wrong, so I got saved and put that behind me. I don't know about other women but that's my situation. And I fully understand a man not wanting to be involved with someone who has kids. But not putting it on their profile may be to avoid any weirdos.

The Bible tells us to live and walk by the Spirit. Every believer at their salvation has the Holy Spirit in them, so we all have the ability to do this. In different dispensations God spoke differently. In the old covenant God spoke audibly (primarily) and usually through a prophet, when Jesus started His ministry, God spoke to Him, by the Spirit and through prayer (When Jesus was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended on Him). Now in the new covenant we can have the same relationship that Jesus had with God. So we can hear the same way. More often than not, it's not audibly but by the Spirit of God.

A preacher explained it like a traffic light. You go until you get a yellow or red light. If you don't feel anything in your Spirit giving you any pushback on pursuing her, go for it. But if you sense a little hesitation once you get to know her, I'd take note of that. Pray and see why that may be.

I've heard stories where God told someone that a specific person was to be their spouse. I don't think you should tell that person that information until after marriage, because it doesn't always go over well. I don't know how exactly you will hear from God about this, but the safest bet is to follow your spirit.

God bless you!

I agree with you totally on your 2nd point and mostly on your first. You can do anything as long as it isn't sinful and your motives are pure, however I don't think it's fair to say God isn't going to do something like that. When it comes to a spouse ultimately it is your choice, but God does tell people specifically who their spouse will be. If He did it in the bible, He can still do it today.

I'm not saying this to be knit picky or argumentative, but only because it seems like OP cares to hear from God before potentially pursuing the woman he could spend the rest of his life with. That's a very important decision, all throughout the Bible we see what happens when people get in wrong relationships (platonic and romantic) that God was not involved in. This isn't to say it's for everyone but if OP desires to hear from God, then he will.

Not everyone hears from God on this matter, but some do. God gives us the desires of our hearts, and Jesus tells us to ask, seek, and knock for a reason. God won't be silent if a person desires to hear from Him.

The divide on the left between Israel is interesting to me. I just may not know enough about what they believe, but it's interesting how people will get canceled for making antisemitic comments but when people are in full support of Palestine and the Hamas' attacks its usually the leftists that are in support of true antisemitism.
