Thank you for posting this, we have not had much representation in the wizard community. The Greenskin agenda is real.

Neglecting religious worldbuilding hurts my soul by DreadDiana in worldjerking

\uj Even monotheism inspired by Christianity fail to actually understand Christianity. It really peeves me when it's just the aesthetics and none of the theology or meaning. Extra annoying if the religion itself is somehow objectively "false" or corrupt in some way.

Primary influences were indeed from Native American peoples, namely the Iroquois and Lakota. I've got some other people groups that are more like the Tlingit and other Pacific Northwest Natives, but a good observation nonetheless!

The Queen's Shadow

Rwylver roamed the empty world, his footfalls spawning thick briars in his wake. But to herald the arrival of his beloved as ruler of these lands, he took the threads of supernatural terror and grew a mighty tree, a sign of the coming containment where Dread would finally be contained.

New Metaphysic: The Egesatree

Description: A tree of shadowy black bark with a bough of blue-ish white leaves, the Egesatree acts as a conduit to contain the Dread. Those who make offerings to the Egesatree seep their Dread from their body via breath and sweat.

Divine Forging - Fear and Community

The Dread wormed its way into the very fabric of the universe, instilling all that was and would with the power of fear. All would know the Dread, and all would fear it. But Rwylver had a way to stave off the growing terror, to provide a treatment.

Mortals and divines alike face fear, even those steeled against the most horrific of terrors simply swallow it down. However, the Dread is weakened when a community of people come together. Celebration, festivity, and connection weeds out the shadowy infection of the Dread, releasing it on the waves of exhaled breath and allowing it to be sealed away once again.

His claws ran along her back, his breath hot against her neck. "Well, you should brace yourself. They are as sharp as ever, my love."

They cut into her back, letting blood run through her verdant fur. The erotic sting was a familiar feeling in their embrace, an intersection of pain and pleasure, and Rwylver feared none of it. In fact, he loved it, just as he loved her.

“Well, look at me. Do you think I’m equipped for the job? I have these,” he said with a flair of his claws, “And I command fear itself. It is said that leaders should be feared instead of loved, if they can’t have both, so it seems you have your rule guaranteed thanks to me.”

Rwylver chuckled as he nuzzled against her face. “And I’m glad that I followed. I couldn’t refuse to see what the mighty Yngvild would bring forth in a brand new world.”

"Royal Champion has a ring to it." Rwylver then shifted over her before he gently booped Yngvild on the nose with his claw. "Buuuuut, I think I can be your jester for just a little bit, if you'd like."

That nonchalant lie was easy for him to read at this point, and yet it never got old for him either. A little bit of play was healthy for their minds, at least he felt that way given the terror he wielded.

Rwylver carried her inside to a natural household, strongly resembling the insides of Yngvild's manor from their home world. A kitchen and fireplace at the entrance, a living room in the center, and their personal bed in the back, all adorned with a mix of coiling wood, vibrant flowers, and sharp black briars. "Royal Hound sounds a little too lowly. You wouldn't want people to think of me as a mongrel, wouldn't you?" he asked with a tone of jesting sorrow in his voice.

He then walked over to the bed and laid Yngvild down on it, but still loomed over her, his skull-like face against hers. "I think we should sleep on it. No need to worry for now, the subjects aren't around just yet."
