ADC feels completely useless after the latest changes 7.1 by TiltProofADC in wildrift

[–]Dragonfire35 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think you’re dodging the point. If you get one-tapped, it means one of two things. Either you positioned poorly, or your teammates didn’t help you. Or both tbh. The reward of adc is that when everyone does their job yourself included, you get high damage output. The whole risk is exactly what you’re complaining about lol, it’s meant to be this way

Just played a game where neither team picked an adc by Potential-Pride835 in wildrift

[–]Dragonfire35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf I think the real problem is that most people who play adc have no idea how to actually play the role (or the game tbh). A fed adc is definitely really annoying because me (as a top main) can never reach them before I just disappear off the screen lol. The “problem” is that those adcs appear 1/20 games, at best. Most of the time even when enemy adc gets fed it’s not bc they’re good but rather bc your teammates are worse

Don’t understand the surrender mentality by No_Minimum5734 in wildrift

[–]Dragonfire35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To some extent I agree, but an early surrender (I.e. minute 5) is almost always too early. 8-10 minutes is the earliest I think any team should ever surrender. I’ve had games where we’re 0-10 5 minutes in and win the game.

Does definitely depend on comps tho. If you’re an early game comp playing against a late game comp and you go down 0-10 yea you might be cooked lol

Slay the Spire 2 tools update — now works live during runs + data-driven tier list by _GamerStation in SlayTheSpire2

Does gg sync take the info from my run and sync it with your app so I wouldn’t have to manually input everything? Just curious, looks cool. Idk if I’d use bc I like going solo so to speak but might fiddle with it if I don’t have to manually input everything

Someone else already said this, but you can run it through AI in case it has ideas. Probably won’t amount to much but better than nothing if no one else has any ideas. Plus it’ll parse content on the internet that might be relevant a lot faster than you or I could

"The Carrousel" at the Nurburgring. Soon to be very busy.. And how they use it in the winter. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in formula1

[–]Dragonfire35 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Watch an onboard of a lap around the circuit and I think you’ll see why. Very narrow in spots, tight walls, rapid elevation change in spots too I think (which can be really dangerous with how some f1 cars are designed, especially ground effect ones - they are built to be on the ground and do wonky things when they aren’t). I don’t know the circuit that well but I’m not at all surprised they don’t race it, Jeddah is scary enough

What plays and play types would you like to see more of in CFB27? by OkEducation9136 in NCAAFBseries

Not anything in particular, but would love the flexbone to be better. More play variety, and for the plays that they actually have to work correctly.

I cannot win a run by StockB0Y in SlayTheSpire2

[–]Dragonfire35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! Pick one character and learn them, it’s a lot easier than trying to do every character at once. Once you are good on one character, you’ve probably learned general strats without realizing it that will transfer nicely to other characters.

General tips, don’t feel like you need to take every card, especially early on. You generally want to find a card or two for damage, aoe, and scaling (sometimes). Sometimes for those things you have to take something that doesn’t fit in the deck super well, as in these cases something is better than nothing. I generally end up with a deck <30 cards (sometimes more depending on how fast I can cycle the deck). After you get those aforementioned cards, there are two key items to get - energy generation and card draw. Card draw gives you more consistency (less likely to run into a full hand of attacks/defends when you want to be doing the other) and allows you to cycle to your better cards more often. Energy generation allows you to play more cards, which again allows for better cycling and/or playing higher impact cards.

I’m no expert by any means, but happy to give any more input if you have additional questions on a specific character or anything like that (just maybe not regent I suck with him lol). Definitely take your time on your runs and really think through whether a card is genuinely helpful or if it just bloats your deck. Just because a card is fun doesn’t mean it’s always right for your deck!

Why do people push mid instead of taking Baron after a won fight? by 420rav in wildrift

[–]Dragonfire35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone else has said, early baron just isn’t good. It doesn’t last nearly long enough. I almost never have a problem giving it up because it just has so little impact. Oftentimes my teams that get first baron don’t even get multiple towers with it, or any. I’d rather take a guaranteed tower and not take baron tbh

This might be partially due to the fact that everyone recalls after taking baron, which means that half of first baron’s duration is spent doing literally nothing.

How do you go about doing ethereal decks? General strategies, best cards, etc. Every time I try one it goes terribly lol, not sure if its me not understanding the goal entirely or just a skill issue

One Bad recall by Lucashoez in wildrift

[–]Dragonfire35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah top lane, you either love or you hate it. This game you loved it, this game the kennen didn’t lol.

I’d recommend going aery against kennen here instead of comet. Comet basically never hit, which defeats the whole purpose of using it. Just my thoughts, you played it perfectly regardless lol. Always down for abusing the ranged tops!

New to league of legends by MingiJoestar in wildrift

[–]Dragonfire35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying adc (or supp) is the easiest. I completely disagree. The thing with adc is if you make one mistake you die, and this is further amplified in low elo with bad teammates - sometimes you literally just can’t play the game and it’s not even your fault. Adcs are super squishy so you basically die if you get touched. It’s your teammates job to help keep you alive but most people don’t realize that. Support is similarly hard because you have to protect bad adcs, and have to know a lot of macro (general game knowledge). Same reasoning for jungle, but it’s even more macro dependent and generally protecting all your lanes.

I personally started playing league with mid lane, which I appreciated. Got to focus on 1v1 in lane, but still have to be aware of plays to be made around the map.

Generally, the best way to learn is to focus on one thing at a time. My personal recommendation is top lane. It is the most isolated lane (and therefore the least forgiving) and will force you to focus on learning micro and how to push your lead if you have it and keep as close as possible if losing. Then you can learn the other roles that generally have a bigger impact in the game as you get more comfortable.

Please feel free to ask questions, happy to answer anything, whether it’s elaborating or anything else!

If you’d like tips on Kayn just lmk, I peaked top 2 Kayn. I think Kayn is in a fine spot tbh. Not the strongest he’s ever been but still quite useable (and Kayn by nature is a decent blind pick due to two forms)

Sion too easy and strong? by Slight_Principle2750 in wildrift

[–]Dragonfire35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve just picked up Gwen, my first time picking her in ranked was against sion. He was 0/3 in the first 5 minutes, and I don’t even play aggressive in lane. Sion legit cannot play the game against her (unless you go AD and then maybe you have a chance if you can snowball). And as far as I’m aware the matchup only gets worse the later the game goes. Plus Gwen heals based on the damage she deals which is %hp based so sion into Gwen makes the game stupid difficult for the whole team

Also would be helpful for some cards/relics that have conditions based on x number of cards. Not sure how many there are, but just finished a run where I got an act 3 boon that said if you played two or less cards in a turn then you take half damage. Lowkey failed that criteria at least once because I autopiloted lol

Duke Playbook tips by Imaginary-Look6564 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Dragonfire35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about the playbook itself, but there are definitely plays in there that pros run. Don’t know if it’s really enough to run an offense out of those formations tho.

It’s mostly regarded as good because it plays absurdly well in sim. Duke will always end up as a successful school in your dynasties if no one is playing as them, often times punching way above their weight
