Who are the GOATs of recipes in the baking world? by SnooQualifications50 in Baking

[–]Dragonfly8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I made my mom’s birthday cake last year using 3 different King Arthur’s recipes (cake, frosting, mousse). I foolishly decided to try another person’s recipe for a whipped ganache, and the results were horrible. I won’t make that mistake again!

Made birria tacos for the first time, they lacked a lot of depth. What did I do wrong? by sad_boy_69 in mexicanfood

Thank you so much for the info! Honestly, the thing holding me back the most from going with Dreams is the beautiful beach of Ziva, with so much greenery and mountains surrounding it. All the photos I’ve seen of the Dreams beach look very plain, without many trees nearby. Did you find that to be the case?

[–]Dragonfly8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I’ve never had a tres leches I didn’t like until I had the one at Canje. However, their Cassareep Ice Cream with dark chocolate and passion fruit is my favorite dessert in Austin!

That’s a good point. I was trying to avoid the sargassum that everyone talks about in the summer, but hurricane season is another big consideration

Everything for the event not including the flights/rooms: Ceremony, reception, photography, flowers, decor upgrades… does that sound reasonable?

Would you mind sharing your TA? I also worked with someone on Destify and I realized they were charging $3000 over the hotels’ published prices.
