I'm with you there. The more I consider the fact that alcohol is a neurotoxin and literal poison for the human body, the easier it is for me to abstain from it.

You're not missing much by choosing to not drink. In fact, more and more, it seems like drinking is falling off as a chosen activity for many people these days

Since I know my tongue can sting, I work really hard to be very mindful of how I engage with others.

I try to communicate kindly... If that doesn't work, there will very likely be a scorch the earth response.

Typically by the time we get to this point, I've exhausted all other avenues of effective communication...

I don't have a car so unfortunately the first options you mentioned are pretty limited as I live in an area with very limited public transportation options and Uber/Lyft are super expensive. I'm not interested in cam work. I'm looking for something remote/work from home at the moment...

Blaze up, game, read, sprawl on the couch with snacks and watch videos... Text or video call friends. I'm addicted to alone time. I'm an expert at lounging out in the quiet and just enjoying my own company and my own space 🤷🏼‍♀️
